NECRO @ I second that, this is what i said would happen, with all these [frick]ing REBOOTS and REMAKES only was time till they (HOLLYWOOD) touch all the cult stuff!

I'd be up for this IF its a sequel of sorts but not a REMAKE!

Theres no point, it wont touch the original if they do!

There are so many cool books and stories out there. Why do these suits need to remake everything.

There is a bunch of Hollywood execs in their 30's and 40's just trying to relive their childhood. Whenever you try and do that, its never as good as the first time.

ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY, WHY BET ON A NEW THING WHEN YOU CAN TAKE SOMETHING FAMILIAR, BRUSH OFF THE DUST, INJECT IT WITH CGI STEROIDS REPACKAGE IT WITH CURRENT ACTORS AND MAKE A BUNCH OF MULAH?

Seeing that pix of Roddy McDowell reminds me of his last movie...."Shakma".

Low budget, but decent. Check it out.

Wow. First Toxie and now this? This is one of the BEST vampire movies of all time! I'm down for remakes of movies that weren't good in the first place, but this is a classic. I'm so bummed.

Remakes. :-(

Austen@ You do realize that actors shoot three or four plus movies a year. Of course, it depends on the timing, but Just because he signs for this doesn't mean he can't do another movie.

Sigh. Here is yet another remake that begs the question: WHY? Why does Hollywood have this obsession with assraping the 80's? Why does this movie need to be remade? The original was a fun little movie. There is no need to f it up by remaking it.

I got two words for this remake: epic failure.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! NOT AGAIN. FRIGHT NIGHT IS THE GREATEST VAMPIRE MOVIE HANDS DOWN! Why oh Why? There are so many other movies out there that "could" be remade. Why don't they keep remaking cult films that don't need to be made. RE make something that is cult but still sucked because of acting or really bad special affects. How about a remake of "Werewolves on wheels" or something like a remake from the "Blind dead" series. These are both great ideas but could use and update. Hell I've said it before remake C.H.U.D.. I love the movie but a remake would be cool.

Wait, wait, wait......look, instead of a reboot. Just take the idea rename the characters change some things, bam, you have a hit. Get a clue Movie making people!!!

Cook- LMFAO I was thinking CHUD too then I got to the end of the paragraph, there it was, ROTFL

Its seems as if there isn't a day where we don't hear of yet another remake. Who knows maybe in the next ten years Casablanca, the original star wars series, Titanic, and the Godfather series will all be remade seeing as how Hollywood has lost all it's creativity.

I would rather see a Fright Night 3 than a reboot. The original is good enough. I would rather see Charlie and Amy as older and wiser parents fighting for their children against some vamps. I would almost bet the orginal actors aren't up to anything and could be gotten very cheap. Sigh, but I'm sure its just me.

I'm still a big fan of the first Fright Night. I still think of the scene where Chris Sarandon grabs Roddy McDowall's crucifix and tells him that he has to believe in it for it to work. Good luck replacing Roddy McDowall.

I just saw the original for the first time last month, and it still stands up. Hollywood needs to stop remaking stories (like The Thing/Nightmare on Elm St.) that aren't even that old!

There is only one Peter Vincent-The Great Vampire Killer! And that's Roddy McDowall!
