Insane, Gruesome Red Band Trailer For THE ABCs OF DEATH

"26 directors, 26 ways to die." Check out a crazy NSFW trailer for the upcoming horror anthology, which features 26 of the best and brightest names in horror, each using a letter of the alphabet as the inspiration for a short film..

This looks like it might be a lot of fun, or kind of a car crash! There is certainly no denying the ambition on display - 26 separate short films from the likes of Ti West (House of the Devil), Jason Eisner (Hobo with a Shotgun), Nacho Vigalando (Timecrimes), Srdjan Spasojevic (A Serbian Film) and many more, and featuring a bizarre mix of straight up horror, sci-fi, comedy, even claymation. Have a look at the trailer for yourselves and see what you think, but be warned, it is most definitely NSFW..

Oh, and as a bonus here is one of the shorts - "T Is For Talk"..

Twenty-six directors. Twenty-six ways to die. The ABCs of Death is perhaps the most ambitious anthology film ever conceived with productions spanning fifteen countries and featuring segments directed by over two dozen of the world's leading talents in contemporary genre film. Inspired by children’s educational books, the motion picture is comprised of twenty-six individual chapters, each helmed by a different director assigned a letter of the alphabet. The directors were then given free reign in choosing a word to create a story involving death.

The ABCs Of Death will be available 31 January 2013 (Video On Demand), and then get a limited theater release March 8th.

This "film" is mostly garbage, but "F is for Fart" is one of the funniest parodies ever made.

MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 11/16/2012, 7:03 AM
There is no direct comic book connection, aside from it having zombies (Walking Dead) and animation, and various sci-fi stuff that we cover. But it's a dead news day and a weekend, and we cover horror from tiem to time as I'm SURE you've noticed..

@darthbob, you seem like a fun guy :) mindless entertainment isn't for everyone, not every movie has to have a plot, and stories don't always have to be serious my friend. This isn't new, exploitation and sexploitation films have been around since ww2 and most likely even before that.

It is a pretty stupid premise for a movie. With no build up or resolution to each letter, what's the point? Horror movies are just turning to gore because the bar has been lowered by the new generation. There is no longer a build up or complexity because the audience has degenerated into an uneducated mass of drones. This movie the horror equivalent of a Michael Bay action movie...retarded.

Seem like a fun super dumb movie to simply just enjoy for the surprises and how over the top it can go. Glad it has an honest trailer. Reminds me of what Cabin In the Woods really was, even though they sold it as straight horror and ended up being a goofy comedy.
