Hot on the heels of its world premiere at the 2021 Venice International Film Festival, Universal Pictures has debuted a brand new trailer for Edgar Wright's Last Night in Soho, the Baby Driver director's upcoming psychological horror film that seems to have a ghostly, time-travel murder mystery twist.

Not much is known about the plot, as Wright has insisted on keeping all of the film's secrets as close to the vest as possible, but the film's official synopsis offers a rough idea of what to expect:

"Eloise (Thomasin McKenzie), a young woman with a passion for fashion design and a strange sixth sense, mysteriously finds herself transported back in time to 1966 London in the body of her idol, a singer named Sandie (Anya Taylor-Joy). While in Sandie's body, she enters into a romantic relationship; but then, she begins to realize that the glamour of 1960s London is not what it appears to be and the past and present seem to fall apart with shady and horrifying consequences."

In addition to fan-favorite rising stars McKenzie and Taylor-Joy in the lead roles, the supporting cast consists of Matt Smith, Terence Stamp, Diana Rigg, Rita Tushingham, Jessie Mei Li, Michael Ajao, Synnøve Karlsen, Margaret Nolan, Lisa McGrills, and James and Oliver Phelps.

Last Night in Soho opens, exclusively in theaters, on October 29. Check out the official final trailer below:

This looks amazing. I’ve been a fan of Edgar Wright since Shaun of the Dead so I was already in but this looks special even for him

This is giving me similar vibes to St. Maud.
Well, the beginning at least.

Visually striking, but not 100% sold on the premise.

Wright is a solid director so I'll give it a chance. The premise looks interesting.

October is one of the best months for movies in a looong time.

1. The Many Saints of Newark
2. No Time to Die
3. Lamb
4. Halloween Kills
5. The Last Duel
6. Dune
7. Last Night in Soho
8. Antlers

GODDAMN! Gonna be an expensive month for my poor wallet lol.

And then of course all of that is sandwiched by MCU goodness with Shang-Chi in September and Eternals/Hawkeye in November. What a time to be alive!

Yeah, this is my most anticipated for the rest of the year. Edgar doing full-on horror is a must-see, Anya’s amazing, Thomasin McKenzie’s my new top actress crush, and hopefully it’ll be a nice goodbye to Diana Rigg.

This looks interesting but I am not sure I am feeling the concept that much and the lead actress's voice is so annoying that I could barely finish the trailer, so I will probably skip this one. If the reviews are good I will stream it later.

Reviews saying it's stylish but not scary or frightening. Still looks decent though. Think it'll struggle to find a solid audience at the box office.
