"Am I dead?"

If yesterday's action-packed trailer for The Mummy didn't completely sell you on Universal's reboot of their classic Monster Movie Universe, then this new 60-second teaser might just do the trick as it features even more awesome footage from the upcoming Tom Cruise-starrer! Although, if you want to go in blind, then you may want to steer clear as it contains some heavy spoilers regarding Cruise's character Nick Morton and his relationship to Sofia Boutella's titular monster.

First off, the new teaser begins with some familiar beats before transitioning to Russell Crowe's Dr. Jekyll, who introduces his mysterious organization: Prodigium, whose sole purpose is to recognize, examine, contain, and destroy evil (including what is undoubtedly a vampire skull, likely hinting toward the existence of Dracula in this new universe). Also, judging by the footage provided, it seems as though Annabelle Wallis' Jenny Halsey and possibly Jake Johnson's Sgt. Vail are also working for this secret consortium.

It then shifts back to Cruise as he battles this unspeakable evil force and teases his character's potentially grim fate, ending with an ominous close-up of Cruise with the double irises.

Check out the new preview below:

So, does this mean Cruise will acquire the same abilities as The Mummy or does it mean he'll actually become the monster? Considering the spoiler-y last few seconds, there's also a chance it's just a major misdirect to hide the true identity of his "Nick Morton," who, in the past, has been rumored to maybe have ties to the one-and-only Van Helsing.

On another note, the film has apparently been testing quite well in early test screenings, so that should bode well for its potential reception this summer and be welcome news for fans.
