That line up of X-men?! GOOD LUCK ! Artwork is a mixed bag..but the concept with banner and professor x may have grasped my short attention span...what?

That last variant cover is not good at all. It looks like a high school sketch that some inker was kind enough to fill in.

Yeah. That line up of X-Men is WOEFULLY inadequate to deal with the Hulk.

I am just still in awe of that line up... I can understand them wanting to switch it up.

But not this roster... Especially against HULK.

Even working as a team...

Tis gonna be nastyyy

They'll have to change their code names, after fighting the Hulk

The Bust: (to describe what happened to every bone in McCoy's body)
Cyclips: (because the Hulk will probably tear one of them off)
Marble-Girl: (because that's how the Hulk will play with her detached head)
Ice: (just a big pile of broken ice)
Angel: (because he's going to need a harp and a halo to go with those wings, once the Hulk kills him)

Alan Davis! My favorite artist to draw the X-Men. It's such a rare occurrence. BRING BACK EXCALIBUR!

Zoom. Enhance. Zoom. Enhance. Zoom. Enhance. Zoom. Enhance. Zoom. Enhance. Zoom. Enhance. For someone who claims to be a genius this is pretty stupid. Does he expect the news footage to be shot in 4K or something?

Feels retro on the inside. The 3rd cover is... Sorry, I just vomited on my shoe...

I loved Davis' run on Excalibur! Cassaday is getting worse.

Idk what you all have read in the past but that's the
classic x-men lineup and costumes people!

PS: Alan Davis' artwork rocks!

You people are actually DISSING this??
Their costumes are terrible? Artwork: terrible???

Good Christ.

These are the X-Men. No bells & whistles, no zippers and belt-buckles and pouches and sparkley-dangley shiney objects.

You all probably don't like Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's take on em, either. Let alone Neil Adams'.

It's called the "classic" look. This is back in the day when Hulk vs Thing actually meant something.

Byrne already did this sequence in his X-Men: the Hidden Years series.
Very good work.

People nowdays are so video-game, high-tech dazzled.
It's like good music.... good music is analog, not digital.

How does Alan Davis continue to get work?

This is so incredibly bad. Yikes.

@Cyked: this kind of shit belongs in the 60s. You used to eat boogers as a kid and it was adorable. Do you still think that if you did it today, it'd be adorable? It'd be flat out disgusting.
Same principle.

Alex Ross cover is amazing, very cool nod to Jack Kirby. I'm not sure why that third cover exists or why Hulk looks like he came from the world of Wallace and Gromit. I'm guessing it is intern art and they won the short straw. So congrats intern! Your Hulk anatomy looks like it came from the play doh factory!

@loki: Glad I wasn't drinking anything reading those names or my screen would be soaked. X-D

Of this line up, Cyke and Jean would stand the best chance BUT Cyke's blast was more limited and weaker back then while Jean didn't have her power ups so yeah they'd be Hulk-smashed.

Still a pretty novel brawl to see though. I'd personally like more interactions between Bruce and Scott in particular, I didn't realize that was a duo I wanted to see until Banner had that poignant conversation with All-New Scott.

Umm... yeah, I never ate my boogers. Most adults can think past child-like posturing, and even as a kid the mere notion of putting a booger in my own mouth would've been pretty friggin disgusting. I don't know where you were raised.

As far as it "belonging in the 60s", that's the era that this arc was taken from. 60s or early 70s. Lemme guess.... you don't like any music from the 60s. There's no food, movies, or anything else pertaining to the 60s that does it for you. Sorry for you, man; your loss.

I'm gonna keep enjoying what I enjoy --- this art is friggin amazing, the costumes are bad assed :) This is the time when Marvel was defined & the characters actually had depth. I'll support this current storyline & I hope they make much more of it :)

You just keep on being mad about it :D
