Lionsgate (Kick-Ass, Hunger Games) has just announced that Hopscotch Features/Lakeshore Entertainment's comic book adaptation of I, Frankeinstein has been moved from September 13 to January 2014. The film has been pushed back for pretty obvious reasons (cough...3D....$$$$...cough) here is an official release stating that why the film has been pushed back.

"The film's franchise potential, given its large scale premise, setting and creative elements are perfectly aligned with the 3D experience and the studio wants to put forth the best version of the film possible to audiences.

Set in a dystopic present where vigilant gargoyles and ferocious demons rage in a battle for ultimate power, Victor Frankenstein's creation Adam (Aaron Eckhart) finds himself caught in the middle as both sides race to discover the secret to his immortality. From the creators of the hit supernatural saga, Underworld, comes an action thriller written for the screen and directed by Stuart Beattie based on the graphic novel "I, Frankenstein" by Kevin Grevioux.

With a star stunned line up including the likes of Bill Nightly, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney, Socratis Otto, Mahesh Jadu, Caitlin Stasey and Aden Young as Victor Frankenstein.
