Set in a dystopic present where vigilant gargoyles and ferocious demons rage in a battle for ultimate power, Victor Frankenstein's creation Adam (Aaron Eckhart) finds himself caught in the middle as both sides race to discover the secret to his immortality. From the co-writer of the hit supernatural saga, UNDERWORLD, comes the action thriller I, FRANKENSTEIN, written for the screen and directed by Stuart Beattie based on the graphic novel "I, Frankenstein" by Kevin Grevioux, and brought to life by a cast that includes Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney, Socratis Otto, Mahesh Jadu, Caitlin Stasey and Aden Young as Victor Frankenstein.

I, Frankenstein opens in theaters on January 24, 2014.

I would be so much more interested in this if it was in the same universe as the Underworld series. It has the same producers. One of the same actors. Same tone and look. And it also follows the same rehashing of classic horror movie characters. These movies may come from different second hand source materials which would make me an idiot. But how cool would it be if this was connected to Underworld and Eckhart appeared in the next Underworld film?

@HAILHYDRA as a spin-off it could've been cool But Underworld was about War between werewolves and vamps and mythology explained origins of the species. Nothing was mentioned about other monsters and if it was shared universe, all I,Frank monsters would've come out in the future (UnderW 4)when hunt began. And Bill plays another character here (no sense to bring actor who played big part to play another part in the same universe).

And I am fan of Underworld but man last two were BAD! Did you see how they treat Michael Corvin in part 4??? He was proven to recover from most brutal wounds and was just shot to the river PLUS some extra played him with CGI face of Scott Speedman on him. LAME

And money wise it didn't make enough for sequel. I doubt that we will see sequel and I doubt that I,Frankenstein will be successful.

But first two were excellent. And they did all this Vampire,Werewolf stuff for reals not that teenage bullshit Twilight. And Hybrid mna. First Hybrid of W and V looked badass!

So is this a film where Frankenstein makes himself the monster or are the makers of this movie too stupid to do any research and know that Frankenstein was the scientist and not the monster?

@GuardianAngel The premise is that after his maker's death, he has adopted his Surname. His name in the film is Adam Frankenstein.

Unlike "Batman Begins" and a few other movies, I have awaited a proper interpretation of one of the best books in history.

The last one with DeNiro followed the book well, other than DeNiro's being the creature.

Kind of look's like trash from the pictures and the trailers. Just reminds me of 'Legion'.
