I know this has very little to do with Iron Man and the MCU - but lets face it... neither has Shane Black's film.

:D

At least that explains why the suits blew up.

Just got back from seeing it for the first time. I am a Marvel guy through and through, and the movie left me underwhelmed. I wanted more suits. No, not MORE suits, wanted to see the suits in action...in the day light...up close...to see the differences they have...the fight scene was "look, there they are and there they go." Man, I wanted this movie to better. Maybe I need to see it again.

If anyone should be payed more, its the people who work behind the scenes, rather than the actors who already make millions

Interesting that the scene makes more sense here than how it ended up in the movie. That is, in the film, with Hall's Maya asking them "What about this missile?" or whatever the stupid line was, there should've been enough time for JARVIS to do something about it.

Even in this animatic, I have to wonder how it's possible JARVIS was unaware of approaching danger, why Tony would not have his home protected and, perhaps most importantly, why Killian needed Stark to announce his address on TV in order to find him. (Or why Killian was so pissed at Stark. Dude, you were blown off at a PARTY. It was a freakin' party where you had to sit and wait for 20 minutes on a roof...and so you blow up the world for that?! What kind of villain origin is THAT?!)

This all the fault of Black and his screenwriter of course. Nothing to do w/the guys who made this.

Rant over. I feel better.

Wait I'm pretty sure there had to have been some sort of failsafe for his suits. I really [frick]ing doubt that military grade helicopters could destroy suits that had taken hits from [frick]ing gods and missiles beforehand. Unless I missed something when I watched it.

Also, didn't the Mark 7 already blow up? How was it present at the final fight?
