Gwyneth Paltrow Dishes On [Spoiler] In IRON MAN 3

Reaffirming what's been long speculated and discussed by Kevin Feige and Robert Downey Jr., Pepper Potts actress Gwyneth Paltrow has now shared thoughts about getting more action in Iron Man 3.

A media outlet has gathered a series of interviews with the cast and crew of Marvel's anticipated action thriller, Iron Man 3. With Gwyneth Paltrow returning as Pepper Potts, the Academy Award-winning actress opened up about having more to do in the Shane Black-helmed threequel;

more precisely, donning a suit of armor.
“I didn’t mind wearing the suit at all,” she said when asked what it was like suiting up. “I thought it was light and perfectly comfortable and my children thought I was extremely cool. They were here on a day where I was in it, so they were trying it on and when my son saw me in the suit, he had the biggest eyes, so it was definitely worth it.”

Another intriguing quote comes from Kevin Feige about Don Cheadle suiting up, again, with a new paint job. “So, at the beginning, we see that the President has asked Rhodey as War Machine to get a new paint job and take on the new moniker of the Iron Patriot in order to do American business and be the American hero as opposed to The Avengers or Iron Man himself, who is sort of a separate entity... In a way it becomes a buddy action film, in the third act, where they team up. Neither of them have a suit at a certain point in the movie and they really team up in a great, sort of old- fashioned action movie way and Don and Robert have such an amazing rapport.” In addition, Feige also revealed, “Aldrich Killian heads a brain-trust organization called AIM that is developing Extremis, which is something that taps into human DNA and is able to reprogram it and regenerate limbs and enhance strength and cure wounds. But it also could change the whole world, which is what Killian intends to do with it.”

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce & Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968. “Iron Man 3” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures & DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing & Jon Favreau, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee & Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film hits May 3, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Marvel Studios will also release “Thor: The Dark World ” on November 8, 2013; “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” on April 4, 2014; “Guardians of the Galaxy” on August 1, 2014; the sequel to “Marvel's The Avengers” on May 1, 2015; and “Ant-Man” on November 6, 2015!

Tony uses his suit to rescue Pepper from the Mandarin attack on his home. He uses his extremis powers to layer the suit on to her instead of himself.

It must be the best feeling ever to be in a super hero movie and have kids at home watching you

I'm guessing Mandarin invents and infects himself with Extremis, and Tony gets infected by it himself.

This article gives me all kinds of ups and downs. I am alittle mad that they are giving Rhodey the Iron Patriot title along with the new paint job. I didnt mind the paint job so much, but for some reason officially calling him IP when they never even really named him WM in the other movies bothers me. Everybody in armors doesnt bother me as much, because thats real. If my buddy or girlfriend made that armor, they wouldnt hear anything out of my mouth but "when you gonna make me one" until they did. Aim being in the movie has had me gyrating since I heard it. Now im happy because they are playing a major role.

For those of you saying wearing the suit isn't "special" anymore, the movies aren't about the SUIT. It's about Tony Stark and Pepper Potts and all of the other characters.

At least wait until the movie comes out! See how they explore Pepper's use of the suit rather than just dismissing it.

And people are behaving as if they never knew this would happen. It was hinted in previous films that she would get her hands on some tech.

I like what I've been reading about Tony having to work without his suit, or with just a gauntlet on one hand. Should make for some great action gags. I hope they really went all out with these scenes.
