@Multi-My thoughts exactly.I commented on some previous articles that they have an actor to play Cap already,but now they are just stalling.

@Multi and @Wolverine: It seems more likely and I have actually been saying it for weeks. Lets face it the supposed shortlist for this has been longer than even the longest longlist for any movie I've heard about.

This is the reason I'm still sitting tight in my room screaming out jibberish and pouring beer down my throat. I'm waiting this one out. And trying not to be excited or get upset when they either announce an actor I could see in the role or someone like Tatum or Krasinski...

I say be patient, I bet we will hear something by the end of this month or possibly the beginning of next month.

Multi - I'm with you. Given the time scales on filming and the physical condition the chosen actor needs to get in, I reckon Cap has been cast for a while. They're just sitting on it, waiting for their guy to get into shape. Then they can drop the bomb and back it up with fresh (homoerotic) shots.

Turns out popking Michael Jackson isn't dead after all. He is very much alive and kicking it. Just yesterday he was spoted having dinner with Joe Johnston on a café in central London.
Inside sources told that this is not just a meet-and-greet dinner, but actual last minute negotiations regarding his part in the upcoming movie "The First Avenger: Captain America".
It turns out that Michael had been cast since his supposed death in 2009. He faked it so he could both pull a massive PR-stunt, but also train his body for the part of no other than Captain America himself. This is what our reporter got from him:

Interviewer: So Michael I must say this is a bit of a shocker to us. But you are actually the one wielding the shield?

Michael Jackson: Yeah, it is a dream come true to me. To not only be the personification of Pop-music and dance-moves, but also be the true iconic American hero, it's so exciting!

I: So you don't feel a little bad for dissapointing your fans?

MJ: No not at all, most of them saw the movie that was made about the show I was gonna perform, so I think they are happy. But I couldn't let this deal slip. I'm playing [frick]ing Captain America. I'm now an actual american hero!

I: Yeah yeah, but do you really think that it was necessary to fake your own death. I mean isn't that illegal?

MJ: No I don't think so... Come on, think about it. I'm pulling the biggest PR-stunt ever, it's even bigger than when I married Elvis Presley's skank of a daughter.
People are gonna hail to me. They will forget all about the incidents at my ranch and all the bad rumours about me. Finally the public will see me as what I truely am!

I: Which is?

I: So I'm guessing that you wasn't going to announce this until the premiere of Captain America, or at least till Marvel would announce who they cast?

MJ: Yeah that was actually what I was meeting Joe about. He said that Marvel was going to announce it soon. And I begged him with my hands under the table to just postpone at least till the first trailer comes out.

I: But I guess it doesn't matter now. Because of this interview I mean.

MJ: Well, actually I was kind o' hoping that this could be our little secret Blanky.

I: My name is not Blanky. And I don't think so. The public deserves to know the truth!

MJ: I guess you're right. The quicker the public knows about me being alive, the quicker I can be out performing my music in my greatest uniform to date, Captain America's suit, baby! Germona!!! Iiihiihiihii!!!
