I need your help! Help me uncover the Stark Industries secrets locked within this safe taken from the Stark Expo grounds!

As you know, Stark Industries, formerly the largest weapons manufacturer in the world, is now the home of the revolutionary Iron Man technology created by owner and inventor Tony Stark. My mole inside Team Peanut Butter managed to secure a safe that may contain the secrets behind Stark's groundbreaking technology. The only problem? I don't know the code!!! Can you help me open the safe to discover what lies within?

Here's the transmission sent by the TPB operative:

"I'm in and up for the challenge. I have my eye on Tony Stark and I'm watching his every move. Now, I need your help. I found this box in the storage facilities at Stark Expo. It's locked and I don't know what's inside. But, I have an insider who's told me he's figured out the code. It's too hot right now to reveal in the open so he said he's going to reveal it on Twitter, of all places, since people post random stuff on there all of the time. Pay attention to MITIronMan over the next few days and you'll find what you're looking for. That's M-I-T-I-R-O-N-M-A-N. Thanks for your help. It was nice doing business with you."

UPDATED:

Thanks to our intrepid CBM users, the code for the safe was discovered to be:

1-7-1-1-1-0-6-4-A

Here's what was inside:

you guys need to check this out... i was going crazy threw the internet trying to figure this out, then i came across this web sight

http://www.hersheys.com/ironman/

it also seems, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups is hosting an online marketing challenge with select MIT students to drive awareness for the promotion.

@spiderbyte its a guess. but im 100% sure it has to do with Reese's theres 2 teams trying to do this. Team chocolate and team peanut butter. if you got to there web site it tells you it will be on twitter, and other venues.
i still think my guess is good, how do i find out? lol

Nope, nothing so far. Yes, the lights above light up when buttons are pushed & there's a beeping sound. The "white line" is only a reflection. Nothing else on the safe. Keep digging! The truth is out there!

First clue:

#Clue 8 Numbers, 1 Letter

@SpiderByte: Cool, thanks for that link. Yes, it has the number 1-9, plus A & B. That's it. The rest of the safe is blank, except for the Stark logo.

I hope it's something better than tickets. Like, maybe a exclusive video clip or--now this would be cool--an invitation to the set of Thor!

Second clue:

#Clue 1,2: What age was Tony Stark when he graduated MIT?
jdlynch1
jdlynch1 - 4/30/2010, 12:39 PM
On the Marvel "Iron Man - Anthony Stark" page he graduated when he was 19 with 2 master's degrees.

It also says 19 on the Reese's website when you look at Ironmans history page after clicking the "Ironman Profile" section to the left.

Also I noticed that MITironman has several user profiles on different websites with the same bio "An MIT student working in collaboration with Marvel and Reese's to promote Iron Man 2" and they all have the link to the Reese's Iron Man page.

@SpiderByte: Awesome! However, let's dig a little bit to make sure that "11" is the number. What's the series number of Tony's non-race car?

@SpiderByte: Click on the "Contact Me" above and send me an email. I want to run something by you.

This is fun!

Tony's cars in Iron Man 1:

1932 Ford Flathead roadster, a 1967 Shelby Cobra, a Saleen S7, a 2008 Audi R8, and a prototype Tesla Roadster.

Tony's cars in Iron Man 2:

Audi R8 Spyder and Audi A8 sedan.

So...second two digits could be "A8" I suppose.
bsprecher
bsprecher - 5/1/2010, 2:08 PM
@Bijous: Good research. I guess it could be, but the clue said "what numbers," so it's probably two numbers. Still, let's not assume. We now have...

1-9-1-1-x-x-x-x-x

or, possibly

1-9-A-8-x-x-x-x-x

Did you shake it? Probly just a peanut butter cup inside.
IronNuts2
IronNuts2 - 5/1/2010, 4:20 PM
Just a thought but seeing as how the Clue 3,4 says "cars" plural (11 is only on the monaco racer), and "number" singular, Couldn't it mean entering the digit 8 (as in R8 and A8) two times. Thus leading to a code beginning

1-9-8-8-x-x-x-x-x

bsprecher
bsprecher - 5/1/2010, 4:26 PM
@IronNuts2: Good thinking! Now, we have...

1-9-1-1-x-x-x-x-x

or...

1-9-A-8-x-x-x-x-x

or...

1-9-8-8-x-x-x-x-x
IronNuts2
IronNuts2 - 5/1/2010, 6:12 PM
After doing a little more digging Im pretty sure it is

1-9-1-1-x-x-x-x-x

The Racecar's number is 11 (as mentioned above)
and the license plate for the R8 is STARK 11

The Audi A8 isn't actually Tony's car, it just appears in the film.

Got it! According to IMDB/Trivia:

The 3-digit code that Pepper inputs to enter Tony's lab (where she has to pull out his heart generator) is 106. (at 49 min 15 sec into the movie)
