Luke Cage Easter Egg in ALL HAIL THE KING Marvel One-Shot

Luke Cage Easter Egg in ALL HAIL THE KING Marvel One-Shot

While looking through the 'All Hail The King' photos of Trevor Slattery (Sir Ben Kingsley) released today by Entertainment Weekly, I spotted a significant Easter egg that most people might have missed. Hit the jump to find out what is is....

We Know at the end of Iron Man 3, Trevor was arrested and sent to prison. I commented on the All Hail King article to see if anyone had spotted the easter egg and too many people were still arguing and beating a dead horse about the Mandarin twist to even notice this.

Trevor appears to be incarcerated at SEAGATE PRISON. Any true Marvel fan knows that is the same prison Luke Cage busts free of after he gets his powers. And I believe the MCU version on Luke will be on Netflix in a few years?? Marvel and their commitment to continuity knows no bounds! What do you guys think of this introduction of SEAGATE prison? Just leave your thoughts below in the comment section.

Great nod.

Apparently there's a cameo from another MCU character too.

This might be a really stupid question but could someone let me know if its actually been confirmed that the netflix shows are in the MCU or in their own continuity?

I had caught that "seagate" thing but didn't know its relevance. Good job!

@JBatesyFilmreviews

They haven't been confirmed to be in the MCU... But it only seems logical at this point. Marvel only just got back the rights to Luke Cage and Daredevil recently, so why wouldn't they make use of them? Also, Disney is involved in the whole deal with Netflix, so the connection is already there.

Hmmm... Does anyone else think that the cameo will be Justin Hammer? He was shipped off to prison at the end of IM2...

Actually, I don't remember who though, someone did confirm them as part of the MCU. They established these series could be jumping off points that would lead to possible films.

Thats great. I missed it as I am not a huge Luke Cage fan. Wasn't Tony involved in his origin, like he bank rolled the experiment or something?

The Peggy Carter One-Shot was incredible and I have high hopes for this one.

@Kurne...That is a good point about Hammer. I know it's reaching but, what if Hammer and Trevor are the beginings of the Masters of Evil. They both have reasons to get even with Stark. At most maybe they could be pawns to Ultron or even Thanos.

If the 'actual' Mandarin does pop up in this short, you lot probably shouldn't count on him headlining another Iron Man film. Even with as far as they've come, I seriously doubt Marvel could sell another Iron Man on the 'real' Mandarin being the big bad. Up until the twist, the audience got a full film of Mandarin being a villain, doing and saying villainous shit. Just wouldn't fly.

"Any true Marvel fan knows"

Hilarious... so now for some people there are true and false Marvel fans?? seems like not knowing the name of the prision where Luke Cage escape after getting his powers makes you a false Marvel fan...

I see it more as a MARVEL thing as opposed to a Luke Cage thing.
And what if they mentioned the Vault? Would that have nerdgasimed some on here?
