We're usually quick enough to spot the Easter eggs in these CBMs, but a glimpse of (what appears to be) The Punisher's skull logo in a scene involving Trevor (Ben Kingsley) from Iron Man 3 which seems to have eluded us was picked up by Screen Crush..

So it's been pointed out that this might also be a reference to Captain America baddie Crossbones..and to be fair it does more closely resemble his skull facepaint. But either way, pretty cool eh? Iron Man 3 is out now on Blu-ray and DVD.

this could be anything, ghostrider (they had him back before filming began) crossbones (he's actually known for being in an upcoming film) brother voodoo (hand painted skull on face looks pretty similar to this)and then it could be punisher as well, but of course it could be a whole lot of nothing too, I would hope it was a punisher reference as he would fit perfectly in the MCU, but it probably isn't.

The dude has Cap's shield on the back of his neck and the Punisher kind of stands for something similar to him, this is a Marvel movie. I think they know what they're doing.

That's very different from any Punisher logo I've ever seen. It doesn't resemble the comics or the movies. The eyes and nostrils are very different.

I agree and the reason why he does not fit, is due to the fact that he is a killer. And we know in Disney's movies there would be no mass killing that a Punisher movie deserves. Heck even the main baddies always live.

It really surprises me that so many people didn't enjoy this fun film. :(

I loved what the Mandarin turned out to be.
I thought it was brilliant, and despite a few flaws, one of the best films Marvel has done to date.

Way better than some of the other phase one films.

My thoughts?

The Avengers
Iron Man
Iron Man 3
Thor/Captain America (both were equally 'lukewarm)
Iron Man 2

Something tells me the next Cap film is going to be the one from phase 2 that everyone remembers.
