REAL LIFE: Fan Builds Functional IRON MAN Gauntlets

REAL LIFE: Fan Builds Functional IRON MAN Gauntlets

While they don't quite shoot the same sort of repulsor rays we're used to seeing in the Iron Man comic books and movies, a firm that specialises in building props such as this one has created working gauntlets that pack enough of a punch to burst balloons!

Created by the super talented Patrick Priebe, what you see in the video below really is a working Iron Man gauntlet. It may only have enough firepower to take down a balloon, but if this is what someone who builds props can create, who knows what the military are coming up with right now? More details on Patrick's work can be found by heading on over to Laser-Gadgets.

I have a picture some from E3 that I took with a welder that created a precise replica War Machine, that opened and closed to suit in and out.

It's cool, but the "capabilities" in the vid would be really easy to fake.

Even if it is real, the science FICTION of Iron Man is the power source. All of the tech to make the full armor exists, its the tiny power source that never runs out that has yet to be developed.

The actual gauntlet is impressive being someone built the mechanics at home, but all they did for the laser is heist a blue ray diode. I used to have blue laser from Wicked Lasers and you could pop balloons and burn holes in things you kept it steady on an object for like a day lol.

My brother built a better one, doesn't have an exoskeleton, but it can bore a hole through a wall in a matter of seconds. Or set it on fire. Just depends.
