Robert Downey Jr. recently sat down with Deadline and opened up about his documentary that recently began streaming on Netflix. He could not go into an interview without sharing a bit of fondness for his time in the suit as Iron Man. He also shared his thoughts on Quentin Tarantino's recent comment regarding MCU actors not being stars...

He was first asked the general, "What do you miss most" from his work with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There has to be too much for him to list out for the time he had spent with them. He answered with all the specialists he has worked with throughout those years building on the Iron Man legacy. From Jon Favreau in Iron Man 1 & 2, over to Shane Black for Iron Man 3, and up to Kevin Feige overseeing them all.

What was a bit quick, but quite touching, was RDJ speaking of the Russo Brothers who helped him "embrace Tony's arc."  As much as it pained everyone to see Tony's story come to a complete circle, even RDJ had to accept the final chapter of the work he helped build.

"What I miss most? Being in the trenches with Kevin Feige throughout; the beginning, with Jon Favreau, it's like a beautiful dream now; the middle with Shane Black on Iron Man 3, we'd just had Exton and shot it mostly in Wilmington NC. It was idyllic and subversive, and the end, when I realized I'd made so many close friends in the MCU cast, and the Russo Brothers helping me embrace Tony's arc.

The interview made its way back to Marvel as we get to hear RDJ's rebuttal to what Tarantino had to say recently on the podcast 2 Bears 1 Cave with Tom Segurra. To which RDJ had to say,

"I think that creatively it is a waste of time to be at war with ourselves... I go, you know what, let's just get over it. We're all a community. There's enough room for everything and thank God for Top Gun: Maverick and Avatar: The Way of the Water. That's all I have to say."

"Sr." had a release date of December 2, 2022, on Netflix with a 98% Tomatometer score and 94% audience score according to Rotten Tomatoes. You can see what RDJ has to say for it himself down below.
