During a routine day on the job, Dredd is assigned to train and evaluate Cassandra Anderson, a rookie with powerful psychic abilities thanks to a genetic mutation. A heinous crime calls them to a neighborhood where fellow Judges rarely dare to venture- a 200 story vertical slum controlled by prostitute turned drug lord Ma-Ma and her ruthless clan. When they capture one of the clan's inner circle, Ma-Ma overtakes the compound's control center and wages a dirty, vicious war against the Judges that proves she will stop at nothing to protect her empire. With the body count climbing and no way out, Dredd and Anderson must confront the odds and engage in the relentless battle for their survival.

this has to be the best attempt at bringing the judge to movie yet and having to cut back on things becouse stallone's was very expensive im hoping this revitalises this to the movie going public and we see more later:)

This I feel will rock like a rocky rock in a landslide.
I have been a Dreddite (patent pending lol) since issue 2 of 2000ad way back when.
The Stallone version COMPLETELY missed the point whilst having some excellent production values.
There may be some elements in this new incarnation that could use a bigger budget but from what I have seen, reviewed and heard...at last Dredd gets some justice!!!!
I just hope that the numbers come in enough to greenlight the sequels.
Hopefully, we can have a film that both Whedonites and Nolanites can come together for!!!

This looks awesome and I'm a huge Dredd fan.

I even love the more down to Earth approach they have used in the film. The flying cars concept may work in the comics but I think they just wouldn't make sense at all on film. Judge Dredd is a Lawmaster riding Judge. If all a criminal has to do to escape him is jump in a flying car and fly away then this would take alot of the power away from the character. So I love this real world approach to the character that doesn't at all betray the look and spirit of the character.

Also the idea of flying cars in the future was really popular in the 70s and the 80s and as the years have gone by we've seen we're no where near that type of technology so it just wouldn't make sense for the film and would look ridiculous.

I think Dredd is going to suprise people with how good it is and will be a huge hit the way Blade was in th 90s. Cant wait!!!!

I like everything I've seen so far, except that motorcycle.

Just awful.

The Lawmaster probably wouldn't be very functional in live action if it had the massive tires. Just look at the Bat pod, that thing can't even turn without that whole spinning tire gag.

But they should've went with something more classic and beefy like this to model it after IMO.
