New Image Of Karl Urban As JUDGE DREDD!

New Image Of Karl Urban As JUDGE DREDD!

The latest issue of Total Film features a new look at Karl Urban in the titular role of Judge Dredd, check it out.

The film has been operating in a bit of mystery as not much marketing or promotional material has been released, as of yet. With a September release date, it's still a fair bit away but comic book movies typically start their marketing campaigns fairly early. There was earlier post-production drama surrounding director Peter Travis but that appears to have been cleaned-up. Hopefully, we'll get a teaser of trailer soon to see if the latest Judge Dredd movie can correct the mistakes of it's predecessor.

Running Time: Unknown
Release Date: 21 September 2012 (USA))
MPAA Rating: Unknown
Starring: Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby and Lena Headey
Directed by: Pete Travis
Written by: Carlos Ezquerra (characters), Alex Garland (screenplay), John Wagner (characters)

Wow, that dude really has no chin doesn't he? Either way, Urban's the man. He was flat out awesome in Priest and LOTR, he's gonna make us proud! But yeah, the costume looks like shit. That certainly is something Stallone's film did right!

Looking forward to this. I still love Stallone's Dredd. Make fun all you want but you can't go wrong with flying motorcycles and Diane Lane in spandex.

As a man who appreciates serving the law and wearing cool ass helmets, this mopvie is so dumb on every level. I love the actor, hate the way this film looks.

Cant wait!:)

The costume is gritty and soldieresque like it should be.
No tights anymore.

Helmet looks great too. Different but great.
Its made to protect his head in the battle so i understand why it looks like that.

He would look more badass with the chin but [frick] it.

I would cut off your head dwarf, if it stood but a little higher from the ground.

This is one movie I'm looking forward to. Hope we get a trailer soon.

Mysterion: That could be true, depending on how the film is marketed, and its cost. If it is marketed correctly, it may appeal to the many action movie fans (who aren't necessarily fans of comic heroes) out there, and bring in more than just the small but loyal fan base from the comic. A smaller budget increases its chances of being profitable, as we saw with Kickass.

@Neo

Indeed.

There's so little information on this movie (images, videos, etc), when will the Trailer come out? I'm actually looking forward to it.

The helmet on the SECOND picture looks HUGE, the first one though, looks quite good. I think this movie probably won't do very well at the box office, but same as Conan (IMO) it might be very enjoyable.

BmanHall- Hell, i hope ANY cbm is nothing like Warzone. As bad as people make Stallone's Dredd film be, it was oceans better than Warzone, including Rob Schneider!

This guy is so bad, he's gonna take a possibly good movie and make it about average.

I keep looking at the lack of a chin. I mean, some artists have actually depicted Dread's chin that way. But his iconic look is definetly not rounded like that.

Chin notwithstanding, this outta be good.
