So...does this mean DCE will be reluctant to use Darkseid for a future JLA movie?

And so they decided to replace Aquaman with Shazam? What the hell
LEVITIKUZ
LEVITIKUZ - 7/22/2013, 8:07 AM
I don't mind no Aquaman.

My problem with Aquaman in Justice League: Origins is I felt he was too forced. His entrance was epic in the book but he just came out of no where, you know? You could take out Aquaman and the book doesn't change all that much where as you take out Green Lantern, Cyborg, Batman and any one else and the story changes.

I really like O'Mara's Batman voice. Very similar to Conroy's.

Also I like Jason O'Mara's Batman voice. It's not bad.

An Irish Batman? Nerdy and Ror are happy about that.

How about instead of keep Bruce Greenwood, we stick with Conroy.

This better not be the start of only New 52 animation films now. Let's just keep this it's own thing and go back to the original comics.

Wait WAIT. They're replacing Aquaman with... Shazam? OH MY GOD, YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME DC!!! WHY THE HELL DON'T YOU LIKE YOUR OWN CHARACTER THAT YOU PUT IN THE ORIGINAL COMIC?! BECAUSE IT SEEMS TO ME YOU HATE AQUAMAN, BUT HE'S AMAZING. WHY HATE AQUAMAN, WHY?!!!!

My caps lock rant is over... [frick]ing DC

I guess they're gonna totalllyyy DISREGARD the whole Shazam build up like in the comics. I mean COME ON! He just now has interacted with the League after the start of Trinity War! What the hell is wrong with you DC?!!!

Wingding sad :(

You do know Fillion has other duties, hes not just sitting on his ass and waiting for these guys to call him and he has other obligations.

McGee

I like Greenwood. Conroy is just GOAT. The thing about Greenwood I would change is his voice for Batman is the same as Bruce Wayne. Conroy's Batman voice is slightly different than his Bruce Wayne voice.

@MartianAbominationClone

Yeah, but they were already doing that with Teen Justice so there's no real big deal if they use this film as a launching pad for other animated features and/or shows. To be honest, who cares? Lets talk about the medium EVERYONE is waiting to see which is movies.

Will DCE be reluctant to go the Darkseid route for a JLA movie (if they ever make one soon) because of the similarities with this story? I remember when JL Unlimited was on and Warner Bros. put an embargo on using Batman characters for that cartoon because they were afraid that Dini would steal potential storylines for what became Nolan's reboot.

Awwww Aquaman never ever gets the love.
ekrolo2
ekrolo2 - 7/22/2013, 8:19 AM
@RamonSuarez

No the bat embargo was put on place because DC were essentially thinking we were all idiots and couldn't discern that The Batman show was separate from the Justice League Batman who was separate from the Nolan Batman all 3 of which existed at the same time at that point. So they put that dumbass embargo on villains because they thought we were too stupid to know these were 3 different Batmen and 3 different continuities.

No Wonder Woman having her amazon show would mean you cant use WW or her villains in an animated series. They still could in a movie.

Oh god here comes more bitching about the voice talent.... Has it occurred to you people your picks are too busy with other things or simply aren't interested?

New 52, just an example of people trying to remake something already cool, more modern & cooler. And in effect killing the coolness.
Wingding
Wingding - 7/22/2013, 8:31 AM
@ekrolo2

Do you read Justice League in The New 52? If not than you have no room to speak. Aquaman IS one of the founding members of the team, his intro was completely bad ass. Starting in issue #7 they began a Shazam BACKUP story which featured his origin. It was continually building up with Black Adam going after Billy, then in issue #21 Shazam's backup ended and he was finally introduced to the team in issue #22 (the start of Trinity War). So yeah, Shazam is important too, but Aquaman is WAY more important and it's frustrating that they're actually going to replace such a big character. For some people that's like replacing Manhunter with Cyborg (which they did), or it would be like replacing Flash with Shazam. Because Aquaman is just as important as Flash.

@JoeMomma29

I know! It's ridiculous :(
thebearjew
thebearjew - 7/22/2013, 8:32 AM
maybe theyll adapt some new 52 aquaman
i havent been able to read any yet but i hear great things
ekrolo2
ekrolo2 - 7/22/2013, 8:35 AM
@Wingding

Yeah I have been reading the New 52 Justice League and Ive been loving it since it started, I don't like that Aquaman got cut out but me bitching about it and saying my life is over because of it wont change jack shit. And them putting in he Shazam origin in this movie would be overkill, its too long and needs a whole film dedicated to it and whose to say they wont do this? As for replacing Cyborg with Manhunter I really dont care as I have never liked Manhunter at all so him being gone is a plus in my book.

@MAC

Arrow is awesome dude, I love that version of GA.

MJPETTY7 - 7/22/2013, 8:35 AM
Wait, Shazam instead of Aquaman? REALLY?!?!?!?!?!
batnerd04
batnerd04 - 7/22/2013, 8:40 AM
Really? You show Aquaman's picture in every panel they took from the comic but he's not even included in the movie? That's not cool, I want to see more of that dude, to me he's cooler than Cyborg. Aquaman deserves a damn chance people! If you want a successful Aquaman movie test it out....
Wingding
Wingding - 7/22/2013, 8:40 AM
@ekrolo2

I'm glad you like it. So then you know it makes no sense to have Shazam in the origin...
And I didn't say my life was over, comics aren't my life actually. Lol. I totally agree Shazam needs his own movie. But that would come after War because the backup didnt start till issue #7. I guess I just don't get WHY they replaced Aquaman. It's confusing to me. I'm actually liking Cyborg as a main member as well, that was just an example. If you read JLA you can see how bad ass Manhunter is though.
ekrolo2
ekrolo2 - 7/22/2013, 8:42 AM
@MAC

If you honestly think Marvels doing this cosmic stuff because they want to use an underutilized aspect of their universe then you're crazy, the only reason this whole Marvel cosmic thing is being done is because Thanos was in Avengers so in typical modern day Marvel fashion they need to pander to the movie crowd. See thats what Marvel does thanks to the MCU, if its in the movies they need to make the comics just like them no matter how contrived or stupid it is, case in point Nick Fury Jr.
Wingding
Wingding - 7/22/2013, 8:43 AM
@MJPETTY7 @batnerd04

Exactly how I feel. If they don't ever put faith in Aquaman in animated movie form, then we are never getting him in a live action movie. Which would be a shame.
