Zack Snyder Confirms That He Planned To Kill Batman In One Of The JUSTICE LEAGUE Sequels

Zack Snyder had a five-part story in mind for the DC Extended Universe and the filmmaker has now confirmed that Ben Affleck's Batman would have been a casualty in the Justice League's war against Darkseid.

While Zack Snyder has yet to speak publicly about his original plans for the DCEU (well, apart from on Vero), Justice League concept artist Jay Olivia confirmed earlier this year that the filmmaker originally had a five-part story in mind. Kicking off with Man of Steel, that continued with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, and the scrapped Justice League sequel (along with a fifth movie).

When a fan on Vero shared a photo of Superman holding a dead Batman from Final Crisis #6, he wondered if that could have made it into Justice League 2 to which Snyder responded, "Of course."

That possible flashforward showed the Man of Steel killing the Caped Crusader, so it's possible the scene would have been followed by the evil Clark Kent holding the charred remains of Batman. That certainly would have been quite something to see and as divisive a
moment as it would have been, the League battling Darkseid could have been epic. Unfortunately, it seems as if Warner Bros. didn't agree.

Either more unearned death was planned in the story or he's just saying yes to everything to keep his fans happy and involved.

Probably both.

I’d say the latter.

For all intents and purposes he actually DID kill Batman.

@danield222 - He's just in denial. As every comic fan knows, with time to prepare, Batman would have killed Snyder first...

Fan: Zack were you going t-

Zack: Yes

Fan: Genius

Seriously Zack has said he was doing so much that the only thing that seems sure is that his sequels would have been as overstuffed and joyless as BvS

Don't @ me
