New 6-Minute Sneak Peek Of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN To Screen With MIB 3

The official Facebook page for Marc Webb's upcoming Spidey reboot has just confirmed that a brand new sneak peek will indeed screen with IMAX showing of Men In Black 3 this Thursday..

A few days ago we heard that a new 6-minute sneak peek of The Amazing Spider-Man might be on its way, but this was dismissed as a mistake as it was so soon after the 4-minute one had debuted. Well, turns out it was on the level as the official Facebook page for the movie has just announced the following..

See an exclusive 6-minute sneak peek of The Amazing Spider-Man when you experience Men In Black in IMAX 3D starting Thursday at Midnight!

So, some incentive to get out there and catch those early IMAX screenings of Men In Black 3. The first 4-minute preview had a great opening scene, but turned out to be mostly previously seen footage. Hopefully this longer one will give us more new Spidey goodness.

They just released a 4 minute preview. Why are they bombarding us with so much footage?

it'll probably end up online like the dark knight rises footage did,so i don't have to bother going to see men in black 3.

Maybe it will be a scene and not an extremely long trailer, lol.

@nowtheresaBATman thats right, watch the 6 minute preview then go see The Avengers again, lol.

I hope it's better than the four minute preview we got. Don't get me wrong the Amazing Spider-man will be a great movie. But the four minute promo was just every trailer strung together save for a scene in the beginning. Here's hoping it's something new.

Why is MIB getting desperate? MIB is a Sony movie, it makes sense for them to market The Amazing Spider-man before it.

You could immediately tell GL was gonna be bad from the trailers, everyone saw that. Almost everyone who saw TASM trailer loved it. Just cause it happened to GL does not mean it will happen to TASM

haha. MARCWEBB SPIDEY WHY SO DESPERATE?

HOW DESPERATE ARE YOU, THAT YOU SHOW ALL THE GOOD PARTS IN THE MOVIE?

@RidiculousFanBoyDemands

True, but to release it this late in the game on a movie that they are now worrying will flop is pretty desperate. The MIB fan base is a casual one, no one is really anticipating this movie. 'The Avengers' is still destroying everything else at the box office and the people at Sony must know that they need to make this movie a 'must-see' movie to avoid being a financial flop. So they've resorted to cheap tricks.

Well, here is what I will do: I'll go and watch the 6-minute sneak peak, and then I will go and get out of the theater cause I'm not interested in MIB3. Very simple.

@dmadtroll: "haha. MARCWEBB SPIDEY WHY SO DESPERATE?

MARCWEBB: “How desperate am I? You threaten my world with a ridiculous Bane's voice. You attach your trailer too "a force you can’t control" (The Avengers). You talk about ground in reality vision, but you use earthquake machine because its fun… ”

Buy ticket for Avengers, time it with MiB3 previews, watch 6 minutes of TASM, then watch Avengers for 5th time! Sounds like a plan!

When another film had an IMAX prologue some said it was a desperate move. When the same film had a trailer attached to an opening film, some said it was a desperate move. TASM has a 6 minute preview before MIB but in this case, MIB is desperate.

Oh, okay. That makes sense.

Wrong thread, but I'm nervous about TDKR. I have a feeling it's going to be a letdown.

ALl the advertisements schemes for this movie seem desperate. Im not too sure about this one. ALthough those who saw preview footage are saying its good.

I don't think they're worried the movie will be bad, so they need to overexpose it, I think they are a little worried about the hype leading up to TDKR tho.

And besides, this is only for IMAX 3D screenings.
Oxbow
Oxbow - 5/21/2012, 8:58 PM
i didn't want to see this when it was the tdkr preview lol...someone, please tell me why they do dumb shit like this!

****I like to see the story when I watch the movie, NOT BEFORE***

they always ruin the story in the trailers and like this. Remember when they showed the scene of Hulk catching Iron Man in the avengers trailer? well, that shit ruined all the buildup to the last 30 minutes of the movie for me!...imagine seeing it cold, without knowing how it was gonna turn out, how much more satisfying the ending would have been! Frickin marketing's gettin out of hand....
