I'm not doing this for any particular reason. The only reason I guess, besides just sharing my love for CBM, would be to give you a short reprieve from the constant 'Dark Knight Rises' ranting and what else (not that it's getting old). Nevertheless, here we go, and in no particular order.
10. "Easygoing"
No, I'm not talking about how wonderfully nice everybody is on this website...yeah, that would be lying. Actually, I'm talking about how physically "easy" the website is. While I'm away from home, I tether my LG Optimus to my laptop to give myself sub-par internet connection. With a much slower internet connection, I am forced to deal with the consequences. However, ComicBookMovie gives me absolutely no issues! Facebook might be slow, Google might take an extra minute, but CBM.com takes mere seconds to appear fully loaded in my browser. Credit where credit is due though, I must thank Mozilla Firefox as well.
9. Active Community, More or Less
Ever notice that CBM is always trying to get the Users involved? Halloween contests, giveaways, quizzes against Galactus (a.k.a. ComicBookMovie)...there's a huge list. That's nothing to scoff at. Sure, we could be just another website filled with pages upon pages of forums. I, for one, never touch the forums on this website. I get too much fun from the daily grind of articles.
8. Dedication
This might just be MY opinion, but this website is always being updated with totally useless information. Don't get me wrong, I'm not getting on anybody's back, but it's true. Fan-posters, snippets of quotes, debunked rumors, set photos....some of them are awesome, some of them are just plain dumb. My point is, that's dedication. It takes smarts and mental work to get some of this potentially useless information, and it takes dedicated journalists too. I appreciate it, fellow writers and article posters.
7. Variety
Technically, CBM is supposed to be reporting on "comic book movies". We all know that's not all though. We report on everything from video games to the world's most breaking news....sorta. What I'm saying is, I can come to CBM and find out anything that's strikingly important in the entertainment industry. Because of this fact, I am able to get a headfull of whatever is most "needed to know" when I come to this website. Plus, it's nice to know that I can feel free to post something about a really cool video game, should I choose to.
6. Free Speech
I'm not sure how many of you readers realize this, but the phrase "totally fan-created" is not something to be taken lightly. What do you think the newspaper is? It's another "fan-created" collaboration of information, except the so-called, "fans", are hired and potentially have schooling behind THEIR journalism. Somewhere along the line, everything you watch or see is "fan-created", whether it's a new idea or not. Why? Well, because I said so. No, just kidding. What I mean, is that everybody is a fan of something.
(Also, if you're interested as long as we are on the topic, Google the word, "SOPA". It will make sense when you do.)

5. Support
This is not something too big to bark about, but it means a lot to me. I feel great knowing that I can send an anonymous letter to the Webmaster whenever I want. It's good for complaining, pointing out mistakes, and many other things. The best part is, I get a response, and it doesn't cost you anything! That's more than you can say for most people you deal with. I'm looking at you, Xbox Live Support. Sure, go ahead and take my money even though your billing schedule says I'm billed on the "19th", and today is clearly the "13th".
4. An Open Discussion
Just go to the comments section on any random article. There's a plethora of people, and they all wanna give their two cents. Why? Because they can, dammit! That's freedom, and it's awesome. Yeah, we have some trolls and different kinds of perturbed citizens. Not to point out any names...but it's all in good fun! You're not allowed that right wherever you go. If you wanna get all nerdy about it, several of your 'rights' are taken away at school. Of all places! At CBM, you don't get sent to the principal for swearing or causing a ruckus. You might get reported, but it's all good in the hood.
3. Art for Art's Sake
Gotta love the "Fanfic" section. A large portion of the stuff in the Fanfic section is absolute crap, but that's why it's great. At CBM, you can post whatever you want in the Fanfic section, and leave it to your peers to judge. Fancasts, fan-posters, scripts in progress, sketches, and random indecipherable gibberish that pisses everybody off. Love it!
2. The Chance
That's not an unfinished thought. I mean, on CBM, you actually have a chance. Editors and Trusted Users aren't picked at random. Those titles are earned, but YOU have a chance. While I'm not the one who dishes out these titles, I myself have gathered that everybody has the potential. That's pretty cool! It kinda makes me angry that I can't go to Gamespot.com and become one of their reviewers. Wouldn't it be cool if a lot more websites were like CBM?
1. Knowledge is Power
I'm sure some of you are thinking that a few of my bullet points could be combined, and especially this one. But I implore you, reader, to see things my way. How many websites allow you to:
1. Post information you find
2. Voice your opinion openly
3. Contact the authorities
4. Make a "citizens arrest"
Not many, besides Facebook. Wait -- I just compared CBM to Facebook. Yup. ComicBookMovie is awesome, just like Facebook. I tell you, reader, that since I joined in 2008 I have known everything about every comic book movie I wanted to see BEFORE it came out. That's pretty cool guys. I can wow my friends with all the information I know. Sure, it makes me look geeky, but I don't care!
Well, that's it folks. Thank you for reading my little blurb. Like I said, I just wanted to show a little love to my favorite website. CBM is my homepage, and I like it that way. Whenever I open my browser, I get the news that I really wanna know (or don't want to).
Sincerely,
Fartman
