It’s unfortunate that there’s been so much controversy around Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy. With the death of Heath Ledger and the Aurora shootings. Now this. On January 2, five schools in Narrows, VA cancelled classes after an article linked the name of their town to a conspiracy surrounding the Sandy Hook shooting and The Dark Knight Rises. The Dark Knight Rises is also tied to another tragedy with the Aurora, CO theater shootings which took place at a midnight release of the film.

In the article that was posted RevelationNow.net, but has been taken down, the article titled "The Next School Massacre Target?" tells officials in Giles County, Virginia to warn parents and cancel classes on Wednesday. No specific threat has been made, but Giles County Sheriff Morgan Milliron said, "We have to take this as serious information."

The of an attack of a school in this town came from a scene in The Dark Knight Rises which depicts Commissioner Gordon referencing a map of attack sites: one is called Sandy Hook and the other is Narrows. Recently, several conspiracy sites such as InfoWars.com have picked up the story, which has resulted in widespread speculation. The schools reopened on January 3rd and security has since been increased. Thoughts? Comment below. Peace.

@LEVITIKUZ 100% agree with you. People blame entertainment media all the time when instead they should just be using common sense.

They tried blaming the shooting on video games too, there plenty of shit that happens in this world that isn't accused of being relative of films or games, yet like the guy above said, because its mentioned in the film, they are connecting it to the film directly,it's not right

you shouldn't be closing down schools, you should be sorting out your outdated gun laws.

To blame the film is conjecture, perhaps, but when the midnight screening of the movie had that massacre, one commentator basically said: "We've been entertaining ourselves with ever more brutal violence and making it easily accessible to pretty much anyone, so it was only a matter of time before something like this happened, some psycho seeing something on screen and for whatever reason, have the urge and find the means to enact it in real life." Movies are FULL of glorified and senseless violence. When Power Rangers came out- when the 1st Tim Burton Batman came out, I remember all the kids playfighting at lunch and recess at school. Anyway...I do think this particular film suffered from a lot of senseless violence that didn't really add to the plot or make for compelling entertainment. Obviously that idiot who perpetrated the massacre was influenced by the previous film.

There was a bomb threat at the junior high school I used to go to a couple weeks ago. It's sad to know that even places like schools don't seem secure anymore.

It is a Seriously ignorant excuse to blame video games and gun regulation for mass murders... these lunatics want to kill people Bc they are crazy. They'd find an excuse and a method to killing people any way they could if they were that deranged to perform these atrocities. Outside influence such as video games and Tv have nothing to do with it.

The article was NOT about BLAMING the latest Batman movie. It was research showing the patterns and synchronicity between it and the massacres. Did you know the Google Map of Newtown, CT is an EXACT overlay match to Sandy Hook on the Batman Map. Or the Google Map of Narrows, VA is an EXACT match of Narrows High School of the overlay of the Batman map. How do you explain this? Also, we tried to interview the prop-master responsible for the Batman maps and we learned he was recently killed. BTW, he was from Newtown, CT. Do you see all of the "strange" occurrences with the movie and reality? Not to mention common star configurations shared between each of the murder sites. Another pattern of synchronicity. There is nothing "wacko" about presenting these facts. It is call strong research and good journalism. ;)

This is so stupid. The Narrows was a place in Gotham in Batman Begins! Has NOTHING to do with that tragedy!
