John Arturo - When did you start collecting and how did you get into the hobby?

TheRealJuggernaut - I have been collecting comics since I was 11, so around 1993. I went with my cousin to visit a friend of his, and she had comics all over the place. Instant addiction. LOL. That mixed with the 90's X-men Animated Series is what fueled my passion. Started with action figures and comics, then worked my way up through the years. I still have every comic I ever purchased.

John Arturo - Obviously Juggernaut holds a special place in your world, what draws you to the character?

TheRealJuggernaut - Juggernaut? I am not a fan of The Juggernaut. What would give you that idea. LOL. I wish I knew, from as far as I can remember he has been my Fav. I remember the first comic I saw him in was the mini series Venom:The Madness, and from then on I had to have everything that involved The Juggernaut. I have done a pretty good job at tracking down all of his comic book appearances. If I had to guess, I would say it is everything about the character. The costume, his origin, his powers being mystical not mutant (which was a huge mistake in X-3, but I am not even going there), he is basically an X-men version of the Hulk and despite what others may think, Juggernaut can take the Hulk any day of the week! I am sure I will get a lot of comments over that statement. LOL

John Arturo - Do you collect anything else?

TheRealJuggernaut - Human teeth.............................. .just kidding, mainly just Marvel related stuff. Statues and Comics are my main focus.

John Arturo - What are your favorite collectible companies?

TheRealJuggernaut - I really focus more on my custom made pieces, nothing better than having the control over how a statue looks once completed, but as far as a main stream company I suppose I would have to say Sideshow Collectibles, even though they have yet to release a comic version of The Juggernaut, they would be my choice. Reason being, they are the only company producing 1/4 scale Marvel pieces.

John Arturo - What is your favorite part of collecting?

TheRealJuggernaut - This goes back to my custom collecting, my favorite part would be watching how an idea you have goes from art work to 3D sculpt. Pretty much seeing an idea or drawing come to life is what makes this the most fun. I have a few pieces on the way that are just INSANE!

John Arturo - What is the key thing you look for in an item you want to add to your collection?

TheRealJuggernaut - I have to LOVE the sculpt . This hobby is too expensive just to like something, plus I like my collection to blend. Outside of Juggernaut pieces, everything has to be in 1/4 scale. If not, not matter how awesome it is, I won't buy it. Outside of the Bowen Action Thor that was just released. It is an amazing statue, my first non 1/4 scale piece in over 4 years. LOL

John Arturo - What does your significant other think of your collection?

TheRealJuggernaut - She actually thinks it is pretty awesome. With out her support of my hobby I would not have the wonderful collection that I have. She has confessed to going in my collection room when I am not home and admiring all the work and detail that goes into each piece. I could not have asked for a better woman to have in my life. She actually bought the life-size Movie Hulk I have. I don't think it could get much better than that.

John Arturo - What is your favorite movie?

TheRealJuggernaut - Avengers will be once it comes out. LOL. As of already released movies it would be the first Jurassic Park. I loved Dinosaurs when I was a kid, and I remember my Dad taking me to see that when it first came out, was actually to this day the only movie I ever remember my Dad going to see at the theater.

John Arturo - What is your favorite piece from your collection?

TheRealJuggernaut - That would be my Life Sized Juggernaut Bust! It is massive. Was actually the first custom piece I ever commissioned.

John Arturo - What are some items you are most looking forward to adding to your collection?

TheRealJuggernaut - A life Size Juggernaut to accompany my Hulk! It is actually on the drawing board. I also have a diorama on the way of the scene form Wolverine #93 with Logan standing on the bar all in Juggernaut's face. Should be here in a few weeks. I have a 1/2 scale Juggernaut on the way as well.

John Arturo - Finally, what is your favorite aspect of ComicBookMovie.com?

TheRealJuggernaut - If I ever have any question what so ever about any comic related anything, 99.9 % of the time it can be found on that website. Some times more info than you are looking for.

John Arturo - Is there anything else you would like people to know about your collection?

TheRealJuggernaut - My most coveted piece I have and just recently tracked down are my copies of X-men #12 and #13 (first Appearance of the Juggernaut) autographed by Stan Lee , graded 8.0 and 6.0 ! Those were 2 books I have been looking for since I began collecting and I am glad to say I have them in my possession.

I also hope you all enjoyed the pics of my collection , and if you would like to keep up with future additions here is the link to my collection thread http://www.statueforum.com/showthread.php?t=121884

IN addition to the Hulk vs Juggernaut statue I suggest a Spider-Man vs Juggernaut one from nothing can stop the juggernaut.

Juggy is awesome but I have to disagree about him taken the hulk out anyday of the week I believe them to be evenly match and yes juggs. Has won before but there is no way Hulk was at full strength if it came to a serious uncaught off guard match I believe juggernaut will lose WHY because of his damn mouth...match is even then juggernaut makes a sligh comment that enrages the Hulk and juggernaut lights are out

This is my favorite section of this website - Anyone know where I can get a replica size Cap shield? I been wanting the one pictured here and the circular one for a while now
JohnWilbanks
JohnWilbanks - 4/9/2012, 3:38 AM
@Bark4Soul here is one that is about 23 3/4" in diameter.
Captain America Deluxe Metal Shield

You could wait on the Avengers replica coming from eFX collectibles, but you are probably going to have to drop some serious coin for it... No release date on it yet though...
