I finally got a chance to read Avengers. First, I want to say that this comic was fun and enjoyable. I liked the art, the dialogue between characters are perfect, and has a very interesting plot. The comic starts out with Immortus yelling at some dark figures. Those figures to my astonishment were the Next Avengers. People who have watched the animated film know who they are. They are the Avengers children from the future. With the word "future" you probably know who appears.

Of course, they are some flaws I noticed. Like Steve Rodgers. The way he's drawn, it makes him look a lot younger, almost like Johnny Storm. And he cracked a few jokes. Another thing is that Iron Man's helmet always looks like a huge frown. It's almost funny. As for the team, all the big leaguers are here. I don't get Wonder Man's problem. All of a sudden, he acting like a serious negative person.

Anyways, this comic is a great start to the Avengers. I give it a 4/5.

Oh and the ending is very interesting.

@Destroyer: Good review. I also had a slight problem with the art. The more I look at it though, it looks like this is not exactly a "dark and serious" book. I think it's meant to be fun and cartoonish (even a little "throwback" if you will). The art looks kinda "Superhero Squad" but the story looks like it'll be solid. Makes me feel like a little kid watching one of my favorite Saturday morning cartoons. It's fun, I like it. I'd kinda like to get Hulk/Banner back on the team for a few issues. That's unlikely to happen soon with World War Hulks not wrapping up till sometime in the fall.
