Now this is merely Fan speculation, Nothing has been proven or announced at this time, but in recent Issues of Marvel Comics, during the Dark Reign and a few others, Doctor Doom has become a significant player in the Cabal, Doctor Voodoo, and in a good portion involving Thor. However, every time he has been defeated, its always a doom bot. He boasts he has little concern of attending events unless they are on his terms, and so he sends his doom bots out to do the simple things like meeting with Norman and even fighting Thor.

My theory is that at some point during the time of recent events, I believe Victor Von Doom is dead. Now again I stress that its pure speculation, and from what has been shown it could be true. Doom's robots are so highly advanced that they are nearly identical to him in every way, they walk, talk, and fight like doom. So knowing if he is still live is a great mystery.

Now in the first arc of Dark Avengers Morgana wanted to kill Doom in the past but made no evidence of his future. During the Siege:cabal, he fought with Norman Osborn and it turned out he was a bot composed of mecha mosquitoes. My theory is that he built a huge amount of these doom bots as fail safes if he were to die, they would take over for him and carry on his legacy.

In the new run with Thor, it's been shown Doom is seeking immortality by means of the asgardians, he has collected a sample of Loki and is cloning him, perhaps to to place his surviving brain in and become even more powerful. The factor of magic may be a small concern but I feel that if he is a master of science and sorcery, then he has managed to infuse both into machines.

Time will tell if we ever discover the true intentions and outcome of Doom, so for now, in my point of view, thats how I see it.

BlackAirs out!

Anil@ yeah in the battle with thor that was (unless balckairs is right) the real doom - loki had to teleport him away otherwise he would've died.

But i like you speculation blackairs! doom is one of my favorite characters and whether you are right or not i think this would make a great doom story in the future. maybe reed or dr strange discover that he could be dead so set out to find the answer.
