2012 was perhaps the greatest year yet for the comic book movie genre. Director Joss Whedon did what many thought impossible and brought together some of Marvel's most iconic characters for the thoroughly satisfying mega-blockbuster The Avengers. Christopher Nolan brought a stunning and epic conclusion to his Batman trilogy in The Dark Knight Rises. Spider-Man returned to the big screen in the solid reboot The Amazing Spider-Man. Not to mention the release of other well-received comic book/superhero movies such as Dredd 3D, Men In Black 3 and Chronicle. In CBM's latest end-of-year poll, we ask you to decide which performance from one of the aforementioned films was your favorite.

Christian Bale - Bruce Wayne/Batman (The Dark Knight Rises)

Michael Caine - Alfred Pennyworth (The Dark Knight Rises)

Anne Hathaway - Selina Kyle/Catwoman (The Dark Knight Rises)

Tom Hardy - Bane (The Dark Knight Rises)

Andrew Garfield - Peter Parker/Spider-Man (The Amazing Spider-Man)

Emma Stone - Gwen Stacy (The Amazing Spider-Man)

Karl Urban - Judge Dredd (Dredd 3D)

Josh Brolin - Young Agent K (Men In Black 3)

Robert Downey Jr. - Tony Stark/Iron Man (Marvel's The Avengers)

Chris Evans - Steve Rogers/Captain America (Marvel's The Avengers)

Chris Hemsworth - Thor (Marvel's The Avengers)

Mark Ruffalo - Bruce Banner/Hulk (Marvel's The Avengers)

Tom Hiddleston - Loki (Marvel's The Avengers)

Dane DeHaan - Andrew Detmer (Chronicle)
