Many thanks to
MovieWeb for the above video. Here's an excerpt from
Mark Brandon's blog on how he put the trailer together. Which of the movies features are
you most looking forward to?
Well, I've finished it and took bloody ages!! The Dark Knight Rises trailer came out and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to do a giant 2012 mash up trailer similar to my 2010 one.
I made the trailer in 10 basic steps:
Step 1: Downloading all 19 Trailers (1hour)
Step 2: Taking all Production Company Slides, Titles, Dates and Taglines out (3hours)
Step 2: Creating all Dialogue and Sound Effects sub clips (2hours)
Step 4: Creating all Slow Shots, Fast Shots and Character Shot Sub clips (2hours)
Step 5: Finding the Music used and preparing that (converting to AIFF types) (30mins)
Step 6: Blocking out the Mac and Yahoo Logos... i didn't get to do them all but quite a few.
Step 7: Slowing down the opening music, transitioning the music. The opening "Star Spangled Banner" Was simply too fast so had to slow it down and i like that it created a creepy eerie feel brining in Bane's Dialogue.
Step 8: Raising the decibels to create more tension and excitement.
Step 9: Creating the MB11 Productions title (Googling the font used in The Dark Knight) Creating a shape and having to transition them in perfectly was tricky. The color was also tricky but i think it works.
Step 10: Rendering all
That was a very basic breakdown of the steps... obviously not including arranging all the clips, transitioning them all and syncing them all - but no one has to read about that ha. Thanks sooo much for watching and if you haven't here it is. Thanks for your support!"
