If you haven't heard about Super, its an upcoming Super-Hero movie from Ambush Entertainment starring Rainn Wilson Ellen Page and Liv Tyler.

Bacon will play Jacques, a smooth-talking drug dealer who steals the wife of an average guy played by Wilson, causing the latter to become a one-man crime-fighting force known as The Crimson Bolt. Ellen Page will play the (very possibly sociopathic) ‘girl wonder’ sidekick and Liv Tyler the cheating wife.



“Kevin Bacon is one of the few actors nimble enough to give life to Jacques, our supervillain with a nice streak,” director James Gunn said. “We need to love Jacques even while he’s doing horrible things – Kevin is one of the only actors I know who can pull that off.”

Apparently this will be in the realm of "real world" super-heroics like Kick Ass or Woody Harrelson's Defendor. Im not a huge Wilson fan outside of the office but Bacon is great, and so is Page so this might be worth keeping an eye on.

You know as a younger man.. I once was offered a gig to be kevin bacon's fluffer, I refused because thats know to get a start in hollywood. If I were to take that job I would be typecast. In case any of you have forgotten, Gunn was responsible for "The Specials" the much loved/hated comic film that was squashed when it came out around the same time as 'Mystery Men'. For my money, it was the better of the two by far.

I'm completely pumped to see Gunn behind the cape again. Whether he'll make an appearance as his character "Minute (my-noot) Man" is yet to be announced. But I'm holding out hope. :)

I know I'm a little late on posting on this article, but I just wanted to comment on that Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon picture that Leee put up. Those are all people associated with Indiana University and/or Bloomington, IN, which is where I live. No real point to my comment, just a small world.
