Marco Beltrami To Compose WORLD WAR Z And PARADISE LOST

The I, Robot composer has signed on to score the music for the upcoming zombie invasion film World War Z and Legendary Pictures' adaptation of the poem Paradise Lost, as well as the next Die Hard film.

Recent reports suggest that Marco Beltrami - who's work on the scores for films such as The Hurt Locker and Blade II - has signed on to compose the score for the horror thriller World War Z, based on the novel of the same name. The film is about a UN Employee (played by Brad Pitt) who interviews survivors of a zombie epidemic that took place ten years before. Beltrami is also attached to score Alex Proyas' Paradise Lost, based on 's epic about the fall of Lucifer. Legendary Pictures recently put Paradise Lost on hold due to budgetary issues, but the film is still set to begin production next year. Beltrami previously worked with director Proyas on the films I, Robot and Knowing.



Marco Beltrami has signed on to score the post-apocalyptic horror thriller World War Z. The movie is directed by Marc Forster and stars Brad Pitt as a U.N. employee who scours the world, interviewing survivors of a Zombie apocalypse.

The composer is also attached to the epic drama Paradise Lost based on ’s 17-century about a war in heaven and the rivalry between the archangel’s Michael and Lucifer. The film is directed by Alex Proyas who previously collaborated with Beltrami on I, Robot and Knowing.


In other news for Beltrami, the composer is also set to write the music for A Good Day To Die Hard, Bruce Willis' fifth outing as John McClane. The film is set to be released Valentine's Day 2013.

World War Z is currently slated for a December 22, 2012 release, while Paradise Lost currently has no release date.
