Not only has Brendan Fraser has decided not to return for another Mummy sequel, but apparently he decided not to return for the sequel to Journey to the Center of the Earth. New Line Cinema has gone out looking for his replacement, finding former WWE star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to replace Frasier in the male lead. He weill star as the boyfriend of Josh Hutcherson's mom. now comes word that Michael Caine (The Dark Knight) is in talks to board the project as well.

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is loosely based on Jules Verne's "The Mysterious Island" and will have Hutcherson reprising his role from the first movie, partnering with Johnson on a trip to a mythical island to find his missing grandfather, who will be played by Caine. The role won't be a simple cameo either as the actor will take part in several chase sequences, one of which involves giant bees.

Brad Peyton (Cats and Dogs 2) is directing the movie, which is scheduled to begin filming in Hawaii in October.

I see this movie as an EPIC FAIL especcialy with Brad Peyton. Tell me what you think about this movie FTW or EPIC FAIL!

Why make a sequel, when it has " Gung-Ho" in the movie (Brenden Frasier), Didn't watch it, nor have the need or desire too, cool news though, hope he turns it down.
