The Midnight Madness always features the most wacked out, usually brilliant, films in the TIFF. It was revealed via Twitter(check the link below) that Super would premier. Be sure to check out the other movies being featured.

Frank (Rainn Wilson) is an average guy who transforms himself into superhero The Crimson Bolt after his wife Sarah (Liv Tyler) hooks up with a smooth-talking drug dealer, Jacques (Kevin Bacon). What Frank lacks in superpowers, he makes up for with a trusty wrench in his one-man war on crime. But every superhero needs a sidekick. Enter Libby (Ellen Page), a cute psychopath working at the local comic book store. Transforming into “Boltie”, Libby teams up with Frank to take Jacques down. From the surprising imagination of writer-director James Gunn (Slither) comes Bolt and Boltie, a crazed crime fighting duo for the XBox generation. They’re here to save the day, or at least to beat you up.

I dunno, it does sound far too much like Defendor but I think this might just be something a bit different. GReat cast too aside from Wilson who, although I like in the Office, don't see as a fit for this type of film. Who knows though.

johan02- Rainn single handedly took me straight out of the last Mimzy! I couldn't swallow his performance if my life depended on it!!! It was like trying to swallow a cactus with a glass of citric acid to help it go down! Gaawwwwwd he's aweful!!! But you know, to each's own. Some people can't stand Will Ferrel or Seth Rogen, believe it or not ;)

Is it just me or does this movie sound really unoriginal. Like an attempt to capitalize on the CBM boom there's been around, that's what I think. But who knows maybe good, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

if its copying the comedy and action of kick-ass,then hell-friggin yeah!!!!! also,i watched kick-ass the 3rd time already.didnt mean 2 rip on it and call it suck-ass.still isnt as good.7.25/10
