I actually think it looks a bit..meh! fairly standard action comedy stuff. Hope im wrong but with Ritchie at the helm, well, im not optimistic

If this movie is even one ounce as incredible as the books are I will be very happy. Thank God guy wasn't with Madge when they filmed this. Or was he? Who cares she's gone on to bigger and better things like stealing African children.

I hope its good... The clips and pictures got my hopes up. I never thought Jude Law could look unattractive.. oh well... I wanna see it... I hope its good... a new take on Sherlock gotta be good... the old timers are going to flip I bet to see this new version (or more apt version but hadnt been done version) of Sherlock Holmes.

Lol, those posters look so photoshopped. :P I'm still not sure what to think of this movie though. I love the books, and I love action movies, but I'm not sure those two need to be mixed. And though some of you might argue that it isn't an action movie, by the books' standards it might as well be.

To explore the relationship between Sherlock & Watson does not mean it has to be a sexual, homosexual one necessarily. It could mean on so many different dynamics yet its funny you picked up on that gay one. I have never known him to be gay but then again I have never known him to be a coke addict either till J. "Falcon" Ayers pointed it out. But I didnt get the relationship to be gay. I always known Watson to be Sherlocks assistant, with Sherlock being the mentor. I used to think Watson also played the role of Valet like they had back in that century. Maybe, for the movie, they will be on more equal footings. Maybe, Watson is as smart as Sherlock but doesnt get credit for it or never got credit for it. Maybe instead of Valet/Employer relationship they will be more friends, brotherly like. Watson (in one of the clips on last thread) seems to be exasperated with Sherlock the way a brother would be towards another who doesnt listen, imho. Maybe they will be gay. Whatever. Right now its speculation. If they are true to the story and its good then let it be. Now if he wasnt gay, and they made him gay then I would say I didnt like it- they werent true to the story. But no one has seen it yet so we dont know. Have an open mind. It could mean so much. You said you care, so alright you care. I wasnt the only one who commented on how you felt it was gay. I guess you feel I am an easier mark. I didnt say you were in your words: "a fag basher." But that word right now you used "fag"- THAT does.

So AGAIN: wait till the movie comes out. "Maybe he'll read boring ass Sherlock Holmes movie plots" Why dont you read up on Sherlock Holmes and see for yourself if he was gay. Then make a more educated statement instead of something like: "I heard a rumor". If you do know for sure 100% he is not gay then alright. I can see why this would upset you. It would spoil it for me too if this movie isnt true to the storyline.
