POLL RESULTS: Best Animated Television Series

The votes have been counted and I wish I had some surprises for you, but....I don't!

I knew there would be some interesting debates stemming from this poll, as these series are the reasons why many of us became fans of the comic book world. I can't really say there are too many surprises here though, as the toons that I thought would win, did. Although, I though The Justice League series would have gotten more votes than it did.

We had a total 7,549 votes between the polls, so this was highly succesful!

I have only posted the TOP 5 from the the results, so that is why the numbers don't add up. If it wasn't in the TOP 5, the nu,ber of votes was pretty much negligable.

Here are your results for the MARVEL shows:

5- Wolverine & the X-Men (252 Votes or 6.11%)

4- The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes (440 Votes or 10.67%)

3- The Spectacular Spider Man (469 Votes or 11.38%)

2- Spiderman 1990's Series (743 Votes or 18.03%)

1- X-Men (1,564 Votes or 37.94%)

And for the DC shows:

5- The New Batman Adventures (79 Votes or 2.31%)

4- The Batman 118 Votes or 3.45%)

3- Batman Beyond ( 297 Votes or 8.67%)

2- Justice League/Justice League Unlimited (1,016 Votes or 29.66%)

1- Batman: The Animated Series ( 1,697 Votes or 49.55%)

Obviously, Batman rules the world of animated series, no matter which version. The only Batman show that didn't make it into the TOP 5 was Batman: The BRave and the Bold.

Once again, the incredible fans of CBM.com have spoken.

Compared to many people on CBM, I'm a relative newbie to the comic book world. I've just recently (within the last 10 years or so) started reading comics. However, I've been a fan of comic book characters nearly all my life, thanks to cartoons like the X-Men Series and Batman. Been downhill ever since.

I am an avid movie watcher and run my own movie website,(GeekBoyMovieNews) which covers a wide variety of movies, books and television news. There is nothing better to me than to sit back and a enjoy a good movie, or a crappy one for a good laugh.

While you may not see a lot of articles submitted by me, I've been an active user for close to three years here on CBM and I enjoy every minute on here. We have the best online community on the net her at CBM.com.

I've been lucky enough to climb the ranks here at CBM and the almighty Galactus has chosen me to act as one of his Heralds (Jr. Editor). So if you ever need suggestions or help on articles, I am more than happy to help out; you can find me in the CBM chat quite often. I also assist Big G in his "Beat Galactus Quizzes," so if you feel like you have a good question for the next quiz or suggestions on making them work better and more smoothly, feel free to drop me a line.

I look forward to talking and discussing comic books and their movies with all of you on the site!

Whoa Batman dominating the top 5. BTW you've got a pic of the "New Spider-Man Series" in place of the 90's Spidey. The one you've got came out after the first movie.

BTAS was iconic noir, but New Adventures totally improved on it. Deserves #1.

i love spiderman but i have to say that the spectacular spider-man should have not been in the top 5. the 90's spiderman was way better that that.

When is X-men going to be back on the small screen. Wolverine and the X-men was pretty good, was it just scrapped because Disney took over and wanted to go a different route? The X-men is needs a tv series more than any other comic book.

X-men evolution was decent, but it was just a knock-off of the real deal.

I'm surprised Spider-Man ended up in number 2. Didn't really like the series and the animation is sub-par that gets recycled at times. Never got to see Wolverine and the X-Men mainly cuz they got the scheduling of the show screwed up. I wish Justice League went to number one and I'm really surprised Superman didn't crack the top five. Unbelievable.
Bigbywolf
Bigbywolf - 11/14/2010, 10:37 AM
I think this is fairly accurate. I agree with MovieTheaterLad that the New Adventures of Batman and Robin was really a continuation of Batman tas, rather than a separate show. A lot like how Justice League Unlimited is a continuation of the Justice League series. If the Avengers continues with it's consistency it will become Marvel's number 1 show.
