POLL: What DC Property Would You Like To See On TV Next?

It seems that at some point next year we will indeed be seeing another tv series featuring a character(characters) from the DCU. But which one deserves the small screen treatment most in your opinion?

DC properties have had a bit of a hard time finding a home on our tv screens. No doubt Smallville was very popular, but it still had it's fair share of detractors and both Aquaman and Wonder Woman both had pilots that failed to be picked up. There was also a Flash tv show that many remember fondly(I don't) and lets not even mention that Justice League pilot. Birds Of Prey I found watchable! But probably more down to the eye candy than anything else. There was also that test footage from a potential Blue Beetle show that we haven't heard anything from since.

Anyway, the point is they need a winner. The CW will be bringing us another DC Superhero but which one would translate best to a tv series format, and which one most deserves to be adapted? Here is a list of potentials. Some have already been rumored or mentioned, some are fan favorites and a few are my own personal picks. Vote away!

Now I realize I'm leaving out a lot of great characters but I wanted to narrow it down to 15 and I chose based on who would be the most realistic choices to be adapted. Hawkman, Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, Zatanna and the JSA have all appeared in Smallville in some form and could receive spinoff shows, but if you vote for that character and want to see a completely new version not associated with Smallville say so in teh comments section.

I really would like to see a live action Batman series. That would be awesome! I could also do Nightwing or Green Arrow. Blue Beetle and Booster Gold would be interesting. I wonder if they could pull off a Martian Manhunter show?

nightwing because it wouldn't need a huge budget to be good, but we are talking about c.w(crap writers)making it.zatanna would be cool but could turn out shit because of the writers & lack of budget.

I hope the restart the batman origins project that they had once long ago, I read it's pilot script and it was nice

The Question!

Mystery/thriller shows are all the rage right now: The Killing, Body of Proof, CSI and so many more are doing great.

The Q would be really great ! it'd be kind of a modern superhero/detective series (: will be great.

They could even include Huntress as fellow main or supporting character! his like, sidekick .. god, I'd love that!

Yeah, Nightwing. Most of these deserve to be on the big screen and/or would cost too much for special effects or even equipment to look decent on television. Get good writers and you might be able to have a good show.

The Question BUT they have to pull it off really good. They have to have Great detective stories. Almost make it like "white collar" with the Question in it.

Why are people putting batman?? We have enough of him!

Better if there won't be any so they won't destroy the hero with horrible story and actors!
Just live them to the big screen where they can make a diffrence and intrest

I know i would't want to see any batman series (unless if it cartoons)

Let us have another Bruce W. Timm cartoon series like the old "Justice League" on 'Cartoon network'.

No TV shows - if you're gonna do character, do it right - make a flick!

@JDUKE25 - That's the single most emo Nightwing picture I've ever seen.

I think I might be the only here, but I would like to see a JSA show.

I mean, come on, the Justice League have many shows about its team (that filmation Justice League of America, all the Superfriends cartoons, Bruce Timm's Justice League) and the Titans have 3 versions (Filmation Teen Titans, anime ripoff Teen Titans, and Young Justice). I think it would make since to see a show about the Justice Society since they hardly have their own show.

I would love to see a live action Static Shock.

Zatanna or Question would make great shows. The rest needs to be in the big screen. Period.

Secret Six! Or maybe Green Arrow. But a Secret Six show would rock!

THE QUESTION!
Simply because they cheese up superheroes so damn much, treat The Question as an adult mystery thriller and BOOM, twill pull in a crowd.
Think Noir.

they need there "blade" a character that has very little baggage that they can mold a show around so they don't have to adhere to the comic much that's what turned me off about smallville they were changing shit and i was like wait a minute that's not right so yes they need there blade

I think a Batman tv series in which would show Bruce going around the world to learn stuff and at the end of the series would start become the batman, that would be something cool. but cw would [frick] it up prolly

Justice League International. Yes,that's right,"Bwah-Ha-Ha" on the small screen. It would work!

The Question. Hands down. The show would be a great crime drama and could have cameos of various superheros.

I wouldn't mind seeing a tv series based on The Question as well, and as much as I would to see Nightwing, I honestly can't see him be done right on tv.

Nightwing
Most likely a character we will never see in a movie.

@the people saying
"Do the characters right and make a movie"

with a tv show you have much more time and with a movie it will most likely ONLY be a trilogy before a reboot. Id much rather see a tv show. Smallville wasn't the best show, but it lasted 10 seasons with 218 episodes with plenty of story to tell (even if it wasn't always the best) For certain characters that probably wont make it on the big screen, they deserve a tv show at least that will give a good story for them

The Question as an action/crime/drama/thriller show would be [frick]ing awesome!

I'd also like a Green Arrow Smallville spin-off.

Or a Booster Gold time traveling show with cameos from several of the DCU's heroes of the past, present, and future.

I know it's not DC, but 'Freshmen' would make an amazing tv show!
it's was my favourite comic-series , it's by Top Cow about a group of dysfunctional Freshmen who are involved in a science explosion that give them superpowers (mostly based on what they were doing or thinking at the time) some are cool some are .. strange.

I highly recommend reading it. But yeah, I could totally see it as a tv show!

Oh yeah, with Vertigo, if WB/DC could get a good budget, Transmetropolitan would make an awesome series too.

I know its not DC, but I would love a Storm series, one where she is a young girl in Africa.

Weren't they developing a "Gotham City" show a while back? It sounded like a cool premise: focus on the Gotham police department and other secondary characters - showing what it's like to be a regilar guy fighting crime in a city terrorized by super-powered villains. There would be only occasional glimpses of Batman: we wouldn'tr see his perspective, but the perspective of ordinary people in Gotham. I would watch that show religiously.

@Cherrybomb- I can hear his film-noir inspired voice-over saying "They say I'm paranoid, and maybe I am. But just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you."

Yeah, The Question FTW.
