In 2012, both Marvel's The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises managed to hit $1 billion at the worldwide box office. While box office performance isn't all that important to some fans, it IS important to studio execs, and a big superhero movie reaching such a high figure pretty much guarantees that we will see them continue to grace the big screen for many years to come. So, which ones - if any! - will manage to do the same in 2013? Iron Man 3 and Man of Steel seem the most likely candidates, but it's always possible that something (take Skyfall for example) will surprise us!
