Over two thirds of men - 62% - agreed! Roy Gower, Head of Film at Cineworld, said: "Superhero films are huge right now. The recent success of films like The Dark Knight, Iron Man and The Avengers has re-kindled our love for comic book heroes and whetted our appetites for the latest superhero instalment, Man of Steel, released on June 14." As part of their survey, the cinema chain also asked women which five superheroes they would most like to date. Iron Man came out on top, followed by Thor, Wolverine, Batman and Superman. It may just be time to start growing those goatees lads...

The first movie I saw with my wife was Ang Lee's Hulk turns out we both hated it and she's never forgiven me for suggesting it but hey at least it was free since I was working as a projectionist at the time and I've been subjected to countless [frick]ing awful romantic comedies ever since..... [frick] you Matthew McConaughey ,[frick] you with your shit eating grin

I cleary attrack the wrong type of women considering my love for comicbooks and CBMs, cause this has not worked for me.
Even had an ex-gf break up with me during X-Men 2 showing. Right as Stryker is invading the xavier institute, said she had to go to the bathroom and pulled a Nightcrawler.

i had over 200 women in my short 31 year existance.ok 231 to be exact. i've taken about 25 women on first dates to a movie. i slept with all of them that night. but because they slept with me the first date, they got the walk of shame in the morning. some of them after a morning romp a doo. sounds like a catch 22 for them. haha so i agree with this science.

Sports are the worst possible thing you can do on a first date. The whole time it's noisy and everyone is focused on their surrounding s and not your significant other.

Movies however are dark, you don't pay attention to anyone else. And every movie has at least one sequence that makes you go for and grab your date by the hand. Movies are the go-to. Have been since the early 1900's.

TheGambitFreak - 5/22/2013, 3:43 PM
Damn, @Beard That sucks... Keep waiting though. It's so worth it when you meet that badass comic book nerd who digs everything you do.

Yeah.. because then after the movie you can take your date to see your nerd dungeon filled with your superhero busts, Marvel Legends, CBMS, comic long boxes and your video games whilst cosplaying as your favorite superhero. Be sure to include an hour block of letting your honored date browse comicbookmovie.com with you and to help you make comments with your favorite community. Laugh at the gifs, and elbow your date sharply if they're not laughing with you (they just don't get it). End the night with Comic Book Men, making sure to point out how boss Walt Flanagan is and how you'd like to work at a comic book shop.

If they're totally digging it, you know you've found the one!

P.S. Don't let your date borrow any of your comics, they're just not ready for the responsibility. They don't know how to respect them yet. Maybe one day you won't have to supervise them, but they have to prove themselves.

P.P.S. Make sure to show them this article, and point out that Spidey loves MJ and Superman loves Lois Lane, and that formula should not be changed (these pictures are lies). Add that someone super can love someone not super, kind of like how you (super) can love them (not-super).

@FreakingIntelligentRobertGriffin "Gay couple or Normal couple"? I think straight was the word you were looking for. Just because people are gay doesn't make them "not normal". Grow up.
TheManFromMars
TheManFromMars - 5/22/2013, 5:18 PM
@ThomCreed

But calling heteros "straight" means that gays are "twisted". So, what's the point?
TheManFromMars
TheManFromMars - 5/22/2013, 5:19 PM
And gays are not normal, because nobody is.

Normalcy is an illusion.
