RESULTS: Which Was Your Favourite Superhero Movie Of 2011?

I asked you which out of THOR, X-Men: First Class, Green Lantern and Captain America: The First Avenger was your favourite and nearly 7000 of you voted! The results might just surprise you...

Feature Opinion

2011 has been a great year for superhero movies...well, mostly. We kicked the year off with The Green Hornet and followed it up with hits from Marvel in the form of THOR, X-Men: First Class and Captain America: The First Avenger. Oh, and there was Green Lantern from DC as well. The question I asked you was which of these superhero adaptations was the best in your opinion? Who was brought to the big screen in the best possible way imaginable, and which of these can you not wait to watch all over again (if you haven't already) at home? Well, here are the results in full, and be sure to share your thoughts on them in the usual place!

Please not that other comic book movies such as Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Cowboys & Aliens were not included in the poll as they're not "superhero" movies. Keep an eye out for that poll sometime later this year!

Quite the majority, eh? Personally, I agree with these results 100% (although I would be tempted to switch Green Lantern and The Green Hornet) and despite loving X-Men: First Class, Captain America: The First Avenger was just more fun for me. THOR meanwhile was near enough just as good, and there's no doubting that this has been a great year for us comic book fans! Bring on 2012!!!

I gotta watch Cap tomorrow, then I can finally judge. I'm not sure it'll beat Thor though. DESTROYER for the win.

Thor and Captain America are by far the best CBMs that come out this year.

So now First Class is called a Marvel-Movie again insead of a Fox-Movie which fans like to called it before it was released?! Interesting...

I love the relativity here. Green Lantern was the exact same as Thor. Only Cap was anywhere near decent. Anyone saying GL was worse than Thor is in my opinion wrong. Same faults, same charm, just some small differences. Alien and Cowboys is the best cbm this summer.

I don't see how GL favored better than GH. GH was a helluva lot more entertaining and interesting than GL. Sure, GL is more widely known, but still, the movie kinda sucked.

I really cannot believe 69 people chose Green Hornet... It was such a major overflowing, dripping down-the-sides crock of sh_t. GO Cap

I really liked Captain America, with all the pulpy action and Chris Evans was perfect and had great chemistry with the sexy Hayley Atwell

Have not seen gl yet as it has not been released here but looking forward to it. Took the mrs to see cap.a and we wer both very disappointed! It just didn't have a big wow factor that most cbm's have. I agree with jimoakley666

2.Thor
3.captain America

Well i'll finally get to see GL this week, it opens here next thursday!!! But of the other four Xmen would be #1, followed by Cap, Thor and a very, VERY distant Green Hornet (worse cbm of all time in my book!)

GREEN LANTERN WAS THE BEST COMIC BOOK MOVIE OF THE SUMMER BY FAR. IT WAS MORE FAITHFUL TO THE COMICS THAN EVERY OTHER COMIC FILM THIS SUMMER. I STILL DONT GET WHAT EVERYONE'S BITCHING ABOUT BUT I GUESS I SHOULD EXPECT THAT FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE CLEARLY MARVEL FANS INSTEAD OF DC FANS.
