According to "Variety," Spice Factory and Persistent Entertainment will be developing an adaptation of the graphic novel set in an alternate London beset by the bubonic plague called "Ring of Roses."

"Variety" info about the 144 page graphic novel, created by Das Petrou and drawn by John Watkiss, is centered on a prominent lawyer and his criminal acquaintance. While investigating the murders of a group of high-powered members of a secret society, they uncover a vast conspiracy involving the release of the plague as a cover-up to political assassination and government takeover.

Persistent's credits include "Southland Tales," "Nailed," "Passengers" and "An Unfinished Life." "Ring of Roses" was collected by Image Comics in a trade paperback around 4 years ago too.
