Former voice actress Christine Cavanaugh well known as the original voices of Chuckie Finster in Rugrats, Dexter in Dexter's Laboratory, Gosalyn in Darkwing Duck, Babe in Babe, Bunnie Rabbot in Sonic SATAM (which inspired the comic by Archie later on) and more has unfortunately passed away at the age of 51.

Christine was one of the most well known voice actresses of the 80s and 90s voicing many more characters other than those mentioned above. Eventually in 2001 she retired from the industry her reasons for doing so still remain unknown with some of her iconic roles such as Dexter being taken on by Candi Milo, Babe by her Rugrats co-star E.G. Daily and Chuckie by famous Simpsons voice actress Nancy Cartwright. Despite her retirement and mystery regarding why Christine was still remembered fondly by fans and those in the industry for all the great performances she gave and her passing is very unfortunate especially if you admire voice actors like me.

RIP to a legend of voice over

Oh nooooo, Rest in Eternal Love. Some of my most favorite characters I adored as a child were voiced by this woman.

You will be greatly missed by children of the 90's and 80's era. :(

Damn. I used to love her. I stopped watching Rugrats and Dexter after she retired. No one can do her voice justice. RIP.

Geez. That's terrible. Way too many deaths this year. Robin Wiiliams and Harold Ramis being the worst. This just terrible. Loved Darkwing Duck as a kid.

RIP. She played the voice of Oblina on Aaah Real Monsters too, and I remember her from an episode of The X Files.

She was also Jay's son Marty on The Critic. I must not be the only none who remembers that show.

For a good live-action appearance check out "Small Potatoes" from the 4th season of The X-Files. (One of my favorite episodes and written by Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan.)
