Barbadian superstar Rihanna has dominated pop charts and won multiple Grammy Awards, but is she preparing to take another shot at acting? According to a recent article in The Sunday Mirror (via OK!), Rihanna was approached by Bond 24 producers regarding a role in the film.

According to their anonymous source the singer was thrilled with the offer. "Rihanna is a big fan of the Bond films and has always loved the idea of appearing in one," The Daily Mirror source explained. "She didn't even need to think about it, she knows she wants to do it. She's really excited."

Rihanna hasn't done much acting, but she did appear in 2012's Battleship as Petty Officer Cora 'Weps' Raikes and as herself in the 2013 comedy This Is the End.

BOND 24 will be directed by Sam Mendes ("Skyfall"), from a screenplay written by John Logan. The cast will include: Daniel Craig as James Bond (007), Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Miss Moneypenny, and Ben Whishaw as Q. The film will be released in the UK and US on October 23, 2015 and November 6, 2015, respectively.
