Stan Lee Wants Leonardo DiCaprio to Portray a Superhero!

Marvel comic book writer, editor, producer, and publisher, Stan "the man" Lee tells Hollywood Life that he essentially wants Leo DiCaprio to play a 'Marvel' hero on the big screen.

Stan Lee, creator of the Marvel heroes, currently evolving into movie-stars like Iron Man, Hulk, and Thor, told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at Activision E-3’s concert at the Staples Center in LA June 14 that he(and the rest of the
world) think that 3 time Oscar Nominee, Leonardo DiCaprio, should play a Superhero.


“I want Leo. Leo DiCaprio should be a superhero, Leo NEEDS to be a superhero”


I'm pretty sure everyone agrees with "The Man". Leo DiCaprio can be seen in Christopher Nolan's "Inception" next month, and being that Nolan has a history of working with actors more than once, many believe he could get a role in the third "Batman" film.

And last year it was spotted randomly that Leonardo DiCaprio would connected to another future DC film for "Aquaman," producing. But Stan Lee essentially wants Leo for a Marvel hero.

What hero do you think the 35 year old star could portray, if he manages to fit one in his busy schedule?

I definitely think he could play a good superhero. My only concern is if he will be able to bulk up if the part calls for it. He has never really been a physical specimen. I also used to think of him as more of a panzy but lately he is really kickin ass. The Departed! One of my all-time favorite movies!!! He could possibly play The Sentry or even Ant-Man if that ever gets off the ground. I think he would make a good Reed Richards if this Fantastic Four Reboot happens. He is getting older so he can play a more destinguished character.

leo is a good actor we would be good in a superhero flick im just not sure witch one...as for namor i dont think so he doesnt have the right look for him bobby drake(iceman) maybe?

He's a great actor, but with his voice and face I can't buy him as a super tough guy. I can buy him in roles like Departed where he isn't supposed to be super tough but is supposed to be breakable, but I can't buy him in a role like Captain America. I'm glad he didn't get that one. Maybe he could be Hank Pym. I wouldn't be totally opposed to that. His character in Blood Diamond was kind of a dick.

He's one of those really good actors that has been in need of being in a superhero role. I think Tom Cruise needs to be in a superhero movie too.

boy this is a tough one...who could he play and yet still be taken serious....hmmmmmmm wow this is a definitely a tough one...he needs to be someone who's deserving of a film and yet still be able to capture an audience beside my mom.lol. Lets see....I think not a super hero but a villain, a well thought out villain too, not some cheesy villain. I would say...MAN this a tough... I don't know...he's too good to play a hero or a villain

not a superhero, but a comic book character...i think kaneda from akira, or even mayb tetsuo. although he's a lil old, okay...alot old. but the only way they could pull that movie off real-deal is with thesbians (haha) such of his caliber. (i can't spell). other thoughts. Dr. strange, warlock, frick it-really push his acting chops... cast him as thanos.

No...Leo does not or should not be a superhero. He is a frickin' wimp! Namor? Iron Fist? What the heck are people thinking? Namor has a chiseled perfect physique. There isn't enough training wimpy boy could do to even come close!

I am with the "overrated" crew.

Not sure who he could play but if the role fit I'm sure he could nail it. @ Ranger if you think he is overrated watch the scene in the Aviator where he testifies before congress. Then watch the actual footage of Hughes doing the same and you will reevaluate the overrated statement.

ETA never thought about a villain but I agree he might pull that off better than a hero.

He has always been a brilliant actor. I never thought of him as Namor before. I think that would be the perfect role for him. He doesn't need to bulk up as much as cut up. Let him train with Gerald Butler like for 300. This could be great.

just watched shutter island.. lame movie because its predictable(when the previews TELL you that there is a big twist) but he owned it.. incredible acting.. he seemed sorta bulked up for it too. hes too good for a cbm though IMO
