sooooooooooo... gay 13 year old superhero. If you want to make a gay hero, ok, I understand where they would want to please a certain audience. but making one of the 3 most popular superheroes on the planet gay and a MINOR seems really wrong. Could anyone here really imagine a gay batman or superman??? Im trying my best not to be hurtful, but seriously, does anyone really want to see batman and robin doing the dance with no pants?

Wow..What a lot of stupid bigoted comments. News flash..Some 13 year olds ARE gay. And the original spidey was really young when he started so what is the big deal? It's about time we had a major hero who is gay. Because ya'know what?..Lots of people are gay.. I think they are more than a "certain audience" and believe it or not..Those of us who are not gay are totally fine with it.

Ok, that was mildly interesting and not a complete cluster[frick] but these chicks need a bit of polish(or boob) if they are going to impress any fanboys around here.

Um.... Just because he's gay, doesn't mean his gonna be trying to butt[frick] every other superhero out there. Grow up assholes.

ComradeGrey - 8/8/2011, 6:28 AM
Wow, that's a lot of bigotry. i knew fanboys were assholes but I didn't know they were this blatantly ignorant. You're awful people and you have no idea what it means to be a decent human being.

..and I'm guessing bropous' favorite "WOMANLY" superheroines are Wash-the-Dishes Woman, Make-Me-a-Sammich Girl and You-Can't-Vote Lady.

Some People in the real world are gay= Fact (Now live your own life). Homosexuality is disgusting= Opinion. If comic publishers are trying to emulate the real world to try to make things more believable or relatable for different demographics, why shouldn't some characters be of different heritage or sexuality?

I hate to burst all of your bubbles, but you heard it here first, if Marvel makes a Doc Strange movie, it will fail miserably. He will NOT appeal to the general public no matter how much any of you like him. Just being realistic...
KUSlacker
KUSlacker - 8/8/2011, 6:55 AM
Doc Strange would be so good if they avoid making it for mainstream audience by watering it down.
I like the fact that we are now seeing gay superheroes. I just wish ignorance was painful.

So is all they do is read back summaries of news we already knew 2-3 weeks ago?

My big thing is (and yes I know that the world/average comic fan is a little older and more concerned with sexuality now) why do we need to address sexuality (straight/gay/bi or otherwise) in comics at all? I like the stories/art for good fighting evil, etc. I know I might sound like an old man, but I remember when the only way you knew anything about a characters orientation was if they were married and even then it was never talked about. Even so, I'm not overly exasperated either way.

On a side note: I'd definitely buy a book about Make-Me-a-Sammich Girl, but only if she was a side-kick of Mustard-Stain-on-the-Beater Man or You-Kiss-Better'n-Your-Momma Man. Maybe that's just me though.

Ok..Some of you guys are frikkin awesome..and Im really enjoying Godzillafart and you sarcasm.. And bropous.. Congrats on being the biggest idiot/racist/bigot that i've met in a long time. Im surprised you have time to post messages..Shouldn't you be getting ready for your Klan meeting or getting a "The South Will Rise Again" tattoo or something? I'm totally shocked with how small minded some people are. It makes me angry and sad.

GTFOH!! Last week I read that they were starting over with a black Spiderman, and I was like: AWESOME. What a cool way to get a powerful black hero in the mainstream. But then they gotta make dude gay? WTF?! Im not a homophob - But I think its BS!! It was like the suits were brainstorming a way to double up on minorities into one character. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

PS - It doesnt make you homophobic if you just dont want to see that shit... Everybody has rights and if they want to live a certain way, then nobody should be able to tell them otherwise. Doesn't mean I want to have that shit in my face.

The only bad thing about the Dr. Strange movie is the script writers for the movie don't have a good track record.
