DC seriously needs to update it's characters if they're planning on translating them to the big screen and copying Marvel's box office receipts. It will take a hell of a lot more than this. Old time comic buyers are skeptical - and I speak as one.

It might be 5 to 10 years before any of this translates to film.

Liked how open they were, being honest about the risk and the reaction, as well as the motivation.

I'm sorry to post a negative thought, BUT a hat and a t-shirt? Way to look like a pro on national news.

This concept worked wonders for Marvel and their films by transitioning the Ultimate characters to the big screen. Feel free to spin it any way you'd like but that's what Marvel did and that's what DC seems be doing now. Updating their characters to feel more contemporary and then make great films with modern day stories wrapped around them. Same thing. Good luck DC. I think it will work for you all the same.

"He's the best artist in the business"

No he's currently the most currently regarded artist in the business. His art is ok, but I've been more a Frank Cho, Bruce Timm & Kaare Andrews fan myself.

@BillyBaston - Marvel has the receipts. Just not the ratings. ;P

god u marvel fanboys just never stop, yall are just freakin pathetic. watch as dc slowly surpasses mavel within the next year, this new relaunch is awesome and jl #1 was great. There will be a jl movie one day soon, and it will be a hundred times better than the avengers. And this is coming from a guy who likes marvel too, just sick of some of ur fanboy queers.

@ Batman5 - exactly. The people hating are Marvel fans and DC fans who for some reason hate the reboot. I say bring it on, after 900 issues, start all over.

I do still think tho' that a World's Finest will come before JL in the theaters imo

Being not a huge comic fan, I'm just going to say that I'm NOT buying any new DC or Marvel. If DC's initiative fumbles, then I will be, like the devil in Don McLean's American Pie, 'laughing with delight'.

Make Mine GODZILLA!!!

All I got from that interview was Geoff Johns saying that "[Jim Lee] is the best artist in the business."

HAHA! In your dreams!! Jim Lee is barely even in the top 10 best artists. He's just the best known one due to his long career and the successful books he worked on. But most talented artist or the artist with the best style - HELL NO.
