Which of these projects will actually see film?

WE always hear about all the projects that are being developed. But all too often, it seems, it doesn't ever go beyond just that: development. Which of these projects do you suppose we actually have a chance of seeing this decade?

Green Lantern
The First Avenger: Captain America
The Avengers
Spider-Man 4
"X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2"
Deadpool
X-Men: First Class

The films above are listed in order from most likely to least, in my mind. Green Lantern has officially recieved the "green light," and apparently will even stat filming in March, which makes it pretty certain, but I'm always skeptical there won't be some kind of bump in the road that will make them abandon it. Even though both Hal and Carol Ferris have been cast, I'll remain a bit hesitant until we start getting a good flow of official castings. Of course, that may just be me holding out hope due to the abhorrent casting.

The First Avenger: Captain America. Joe Johnston apparently joined the project in October, I believe, but I have heard nothing since then. I haven't even heard that they've started auditioning. Maybe it's still too early, but I'm getting worried. They say they'll start filming in June, though, so there's a big ray of hope.

The Avengers is such a big undertaking, something we've never seen the likes of before, crossing over the characters of four franchises into such a massive film, one has to wonder if it's even possible. First thing's first, Captain America has to get made. Then they have to get everybody, including Edward Norton, who seems to be somewhat reluctant, to do it. THEN we can talk. Even though Zak Penn has been working on the script since ever, the big hurdle is to get all these people together for one of the most ambitious film projects ever.At this point, I'm just afraid of getting my hopes up and jinxing it.

Spider-Man 4 is a film that apparently has already cast it's lead villain, but this big halt in the production makes me think it'll either get canceled all together, or they'll go a totally different direction and take a much longer time to make it. There are certain ideas that are just too stupid to make it to the screen, and this plotline with the Vulture just seems to be one of them. (Of course, G.I. Joe had about twenty such things, and that, against all the laws of the universe, happened, so...)

"X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2" is very early on, so we'l hav eto wait and see. But I would have thought we'd have heard some more about it by now. I really hope it does, because a movie showing Wolverine in Japan would be great. But what are they going to call it? The above title is in quotations because I seriously doubt they'd actually call it that. I think just "Wolverine Hyphen Something" might be good.

Deadpool: Again, it's still very early on, so we'll just have to wait and see.

X-Men Origins: First Class. Even though Singer's been hired to direct, this is something I just have trouble imagining in my mind. I mean, good or bad, there are some ideas that, from the first moment you hear about them, you just go, "Nah, that's never gonna happen." I mean really, did anyone ever expect to see "X-Men Origins: Magneto?" "Green Arrow: Escape From Supermax" is another one that never stood much hope. That's part of the reason I'm still a bit skepticle about Green Lantern, because I'm still getting over the incredulity of it. It just doesn't seem possible that a real Green Lantern movie may get made.

So that's my spiel. If I've forgotten anything, let me know, and let me know your thoughts on all these films and the chances they stand of seeing the light of day.

Yeah, these are all guaranteed to make lots of money, so they will all make it. Though it may not be on the schedule they hoped...like Spiderman 4

all. The only ones they might scrap are First Class and Avengers, but that is extremely unlikely.
