PRIEST, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller, is set in an alternate world -- one ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. The story revolves around a legendary Warrior Priest from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church. When his niece is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on a quest to find her before they turn her into one of them. He is joined on his crusade by his niece's boyfriend, a trigger-fingered young wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess who possesses otherworldly fighting skills.




Priest is set to hit theatres on May 13.

Well I'm gonna see it anyway Grif. I know what your gripe is about it and I agree. It's because they went for the toned down PG-13 is why the action looks so tame. But overall it looks like a good time at the movies.

Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to go. Smallville starts in 20 minutes and I don't wanna miss Booster or the Blue Beetle.

Not too bad. I like the tone more than the action. The axe to the chest fell kinda flat, but this might be worth checking out. On DVD.

Yup, attaching a chain/rope to a motorcycle that is moving toward you at speed and then pulling it toward you is sure gonna lift the vehicle off the ground with no slack at all.

It's a shame that Paul Bettany movies don't do better.He's an amazing actor and I love him in action movies as well. I thought Legion was going to be great movie, but it seemed more like an episode of the twilight zone rather than an epic war between Angels. I hope this one does good. Main thing that is has got going against is Vampires. Seems like every year we get like 5-10 vampire movies. Bettany needs to be Aloysius Pendergast from the Preston/Child novels. He would own that role and it would make his career.

Haven't we seen this movie enough times? The whole movie is just an excuse have the main actors say, "I wont give up/I'll save them/I can't give up on her!" and get some neato emo close-ups. Insert bad humor and overchoreographed fight scenes wherever. Spice with strange haircuts and let simmer in a sauce made from it's own mediocrity. Serve directly up the ass of moviegoers everywhere for ten-bucks a ticket.
