With a new director in the form of Dean Parisot (Justified, The Good Wife), RED 2 adds even more actors to its already impressive ensemble cast as everyone from Anthony Hopkins (Thor) to Neal McDonough (Captain America: The First Avenger) and Byung-hun Lee (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) sign up to join the returning cast members. This instalment will reportedly see the retired C.I.A. Agents travelling across Europe to take on an all-new threat and will hopefully improve upon the so-so first movie.

The sequel to the action-comedy hit RED, which reunites our team of retired CIA operatives as they use their old-school style to take on a new set of enemies all across Europe.

RELEASE DATE: August 2nd, 2013.

Urrgh, can't stand Zeta-Jones.

RED was a surprise for me, pleasantly so.
There was nothing on TV and I think I noticed it on Lovefilm™ after browsing and finding little else at the time.
John Malkovich was great in it!. I wonder if 'The Pig' will make a return appearance!. ^^

Not a bad movie the first one, the Bruce Willis stepping out of a spinning car whilst shooting bit was pretty freakin awesome.

Yaa shame there's no Freeman... he was awesome in it. Always is though... This shouldn't be bad, there'll probably be more Malkovich as they'd know that everyone loved him in the first one, he was highhhlarious.

The first one was a great fun; but, I'm still not sure about this. The cast is great, but I doubt that a sequel is actually necessary.

It's a shame that Mr. Freeman's character isn't returning...but, hey, if he is, that means it's from the grave. That's acceptable, I suppose.

I literally stood up and yelled out "YOU CANT KILL MORGAN FREEMAN! HES GOD!" in the middle of the first one in theatres. People actually yelled out "Exactly!"

The original film was a lot of fun. I hope this can be one of those rare sequels that is as good as the original was.
