With the summer movie season winding down, it's time to look ahead to the fall, and one of the biggest upcoming releases is Paramount Pictures' Terminator: Dark Fate, which will see original stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton reprise their roles from the 1991 sci-fi blockbuster.

Speaking with Total Film, director Tim Miller offered an interesting update regarding the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger's iconic T-800. “He looks different, and he is different. It’s an interesting way to portray him. He’s just so iconic, but it’s something we haven’t seen in any of the other films. I personally think that he looks the best since Terminator 2.

As for Miller's decision to omit the three prior T2 sequels from the original continuity, he didn't exaclty mince words. "The last movie was not good. Wait, I shouldn’t say that. There have been some… misfires." He said with a laugh before adding, "You don’t want it to go out that way as a fan. I wanted the franchise to have some kind of noble future again. I wanted to help with that because I love The Terminator so, so much.

While we've seen Arnold return in the now non-canon sequels, the new film will be the first time Linda Hamilton has suited up as Sarah Connor in nearly three decades. In the same piece, the fan-favorite actress shared her experience on the first day of filming, “The first time back in costume was powerful. I walked out of the trailer and it knocked the breath out of everybody. When I saw the look on everyone else’s face, I was like, ‘Alright, I think I can do this!’

I love how he straight up trashes Genisys (which, what the f uck is that spelling?). That movie was terrible and so has this franchise been since Rise of the Machines. Should have stopped at 2, but we'll see what happens...

If I gotta choose a Fate, I think I’m going with Kent Nelson then (who I really wanna see on the big screen)

Anyway, even though Miller trashes Genisys, I actually kinda liked that movie
