AVATAR 2 Concept Art Features A Na'vi Character Believed To Be Zoe Saldana's 'Neytiri'

At least, that's who we think it is! Producer Jon Landau has posted a concept sketch of one of the Na'vi characters we'll see in James Cameron's Avatar sequel, and though he doesn't specify, it definitely appears to be Neytiri (Zoe Saldana). Check it out...

Avatar 2 producer Jon Landau has unveiled the following illustration of a female Na'vi character believed to be Neytiri, who was played by Guardians of the Galaxy actress Zoe Saldana in the first film. It certainly resembles her, though there's always the chance it's brand new character too of course.

Story details still remain a mystery, but we have been told that this sequel (and the other 2 that are in the works) will revolve around an "overall spiritual journey".

In addition to Saldana, we know that Sigourney Weaver will also return, and Avatar 2 is currently set for release in 2017.

I don't see this one making nearly as much as the first. The 1st one shouldn't have made as much as it did. Maybe I'll be wrong though.

it's so funny to see people say the same exact thing today that I said about the movie when it came out in theaters.

What happened to Sam Worthington?? Before the whole Captain America casting of Evans happened, I thought Worthington would get the role.
Does he still make movies? or did that horrible on a Ledge movie kill his career?

Where the hell is this sequel? It seemed like Cameron was excited to make it at one point. I loved the first one and I'm hoping the second would have some new locations and creatures to feast my eyes on.

James Cameron is starting to feel like the 21st century's version of Orson Wells. One or two really big hits and completely wastes his time on personal side projects that make no money and taking YEARS to mount larger pictures that HE wants to see but no one else has any interest in seeing.
Instead of becoming another Stanley Kubrick, Cameron is slowing becoming irrelevant in Hollywood.

Sam Worthington's career is far from dead, he was just in Everest has filmed a bunch of other movies which are due to be released in the next year and is starring in Avatar 2,3 and 4 which are all being filmed back to back and released over the next five years, they will all be blockbuster movies so he is pretty set for the next few years.

I understand that faces generally aren't symmetrical but those lips look awful. I wish Cameron would let this franchise go and focus on something else.
