This special Christmas episode features Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins (making her acting debut) along side Harry Potter and The Singing Detective actor Michael Gambon. The award-winning lead writer and executive producer is Steven Moffat (Sherlock).

Newlyweds Amy and Rory are trapped on a crashing space liner, and the only way the Doctor can rescue them is to save the soul of a lonely old miser. But is Kazran Sardick, the richest man in Sardicktown, beyond redemption? And what is lurking in the fogs of Christmas Eve?























Airs Christmas day BBC One/BBC America.

woh woh, LEEE, you are reporting on the Doctor Who Xmas Special, on CBM????? What sort of awesome alternate universe have I landed in?!

I cant wait for this first Xmas special with Matt Smith as the brilliant Eleventh Doctor, the beautiful Karen Gillan as Amy Pond & the brilliant Arthur Darvill as Rory Williams (or should that be Rory Pond now? lol)

And with the addition of Michael Gambon, Katherine Jenkins & CGI shark aliens in a story written by the brilliant Steven Moffat, its gonna be a badass Xmas special

Nice one LEEE for this article, the Xmas special WILL be one of the must sees of Xmas. Xmas isnt complete for me without the Doctor Who Xmas special!

not a big fan of dr.who but my dad loves it so when i see my mum & dad on christmas day i'll have to sit through this. :D

It's about BLOODY time BBC America got in-sync with the parent company and did a simutanous broadcast! What's the @#$!-ing point of torturing the fans 'across the pond' by making us wait three months after the series is already out?!

Not a fan of Doctor Who but it might be worth checking out for Catherine Jenkins if nothing else. :P Good stuff LEE. I've not really liked the show since it came back - I dunno whether it's because it looks cheap and is badly acted, but there's only been a handful of episodes I've enjoyed.
