I'm just not to sure if I can be afraid of a alien with such a beautiful smile :(

It's almost funny how much they wanted to stay away from the "normal" phallus/penis shaped alien head.

That pointy head and the smile makes the alien look like a skinny garden gnome.

looks an awful lot like Aliens, aliens. all the one aliens need is a tail and they'd look very similar. Even the worm alien looks like the ones from Aliens movies.

Sounds a lot like another 2012 pre-July summer film. :P

@Godzilla, i confess that head explosion part frustrated me a little, but in general the movie is good entertainment. I liked it!

@dionysios that's better though, I would rather have more questions to be answered in sequels rather than all the answers already through only one movie. Usually why a lot of sequels fail cause they have not much to go on.

@monkeyballs3

That's exactly what I thought as I clicked the Post Comment button. :P That's hilarious man! I agree with what you said and feel the same way you do. The problems(1 or 2) I had with the Prometheus are the same, but I am not willing to let that ruin it(as many feel the need to profess without support)for me, because the many positives outweighed the negatives. The film was good and everyone I've talked to outside the geek/nerd/whatever community liked it. Yeah I'm on the fence with the sequel to Bladerunner.

@totallitarianfart

I enjoyed Avengers too, but if you want to split hairs, where was all that heart in Avengers? Iron Man had heart(the cave, "Tony Stark has a heart," etc). Captain America: First Avenger had heart(scenes with Tucci and Evans; Rogers gave everything). Thor sounded like it had heart(the score helped this one out & I watch it probably the most of all the Paramount/Marvel films). Avengers had stink faces and smarmadouchebag-like dialogue(just to skim the surface), but I'm not going on the offensive about it. If I want the wall broken, I'll watch a John Hughes movie: Ferris, Weird Science, etc. Maybe I should go order two scoops of dumb dummy dumbness with sprinkles to dessert on after my meal of Schawarma and Koolaid.

Trust me, I'm just as tired as you all are.

"I have to admit, in some ways I found the movie morally offensive. We live in a time when extreme religious views harm science education. Somehow the shitty script of Prometheus seemed to back up some of the more extreme and ignorant contemporary voices.'

'To be clear, the point I just made is separate from all the criticisms I have about the movie in general, and more of an explanation as to why I care about this movie sucking in this particular way."

Backing an opinion? Now that sounds more like a human being.

Movie was awesome, a few moments I was thinking wtf but good movie none the less. Alien and aliens are obviously still better but a great movie I thought.

@Godzillafart

Uhh, no you are. I'm not arguing with you. You are on a Prometheus thread constantly coming back to defend your negative stance on the movie. I respect anyone's negative opinion that supports their view. I have no reason to ever go against opinion, merely the tactics used to influence opinion. I've been vague for the sake of spoilers, but you all have blown the lid off. And by the way, you have never detailed your thesis on why the "biology" of the film is so far maligned it makes it un-viewable, aside from my 50/50 take on the science of the re-animated/exploding/alien head.

I await a dual essay to be posted shortly on this website. What's good for class is good for the web, eh? :P

@Godzilladiarrhea

Don't take Prometheus to be morally abusive. It's a sci-fi film, that to every eyeball lucky enough to have the light shine through the emult--, oh wait he did go RED on this one.., uhh, it's a sci-fi film, that yeah has a great deal of verisimilitude, but not enough for you. No worries. There's no win/loss column here; it's okay. I'm technically christian.., it's okay.
